ABBOTT, Neaman -
Passed away at the Brookfield Hospital on Saturday, February 5, 2011, Mr. Neaman Abbott of Musgrave Harbour in his 77th year. Predeceased by his parents Winthrop and Edna Abbott. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Marcella Jane Abbott, one son Danny of Musgrave Harbour, three daughters Roxanne of Saskatoon, SK, Marlene of Prince George, BC, and Pauline of Grand Prairie, AB, one sister Loretta Tulk (Tom) of Cottrell's Cove, NL, three grandchildren Amanda, Callum, and Faith, one niece Sharon Tulk, one nephew Dwayne Tulk, and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, February 8th from the United Church on Musgrave Harbour with Rev. Harry Templeman officiating. Interment followed from the United Church Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour-Wesleyville. TULK, Phyllis Mae (nee Lush) -
Phyllis Mae passed away suddenly at Oram's Emmanual Manor in Gambo on Saturday, February 5, 2011. Predeceased by husband, Baxter (2005), Phyllis was the last surviving member of her family (Peter and Susannah Lush). Leaving to mourn are her three daughters, Pearl Patten (Juan), Shirley Ring (Frank), Cathie Tulk (Greg); 2 sons Lorne (Celestine), Kevin (Nicole); 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and extended family; also special friend, Kate Taite, and her friends at the Senior's Manor, as well as friends throughout Gambo, other areas of Newfoundland and Labrador (Labrador City). Donations may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery fund or charity of one's choice. Funeral took place on February 10, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at Salvation Army Gambo with interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery.

HOWSE, Mary -
Passed peacefully away At Brookfield Hospital on February 8, 2011, Mary Virginia Howse, age 82 years of Wesleyville. Predeceased by her husband; George, daughter, Patricia, parents, Edward and Frances Kean, sisters, Nellie, Lorraine and Margaret. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Richard (Marjorie), Ted (Marilyn), George (Marion), Roger (Rhonda), Geoffery (Cheryl), Paul, Perry (Joyce), daughter, June (Roland Sheppard), 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters, Verna, Louise, Yvonne, brothers, Jim, Bruce and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on February 11, 2011 at The Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville with Rev. Brian Hannon officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, on Thursday, February 24, 2011, age 94 years, Ronald Rogers, of Centerville. Predeceased by his wife, Tryphena (1999). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; son, Ralph (Nita), Clarenville; daughters, Honor Dominie (Frank), Botwood, Dorothy Parsons, Ft McMurray; six grandchildren; Brian (Denise), Keith (Welma), Andrew (Teresa), Joanne (Kevin), Rhonda (Bob) and Matthew; three great-grand-children; Allison, Sarah, and Jeremy as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Passed peacefully away on February 26, 2011 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay from where she resided, Sophie Welshman, age 70 years formerly of Pool's Island. Predeceased by her parents; Darius and Gladys Parsons, brothers; Malcolm, Gideon, sisters; Stella, Mary, Mavis, and Myrtle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; daughter Joy (Perry Dyke) of Pool's Island, sons; Edison Welshman (Gail) of Vancouver Island, Allen Welshman (Kerry) of Hamilton, Ontario, 2 grandchildren; April, Krista, sister; Lorraine Lenuvue of Montreal and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed away suddenly at his residence in Musgrave Harbour on Sunday, February 27, 2011, Mr. Peter Mullett in his 51st year. Predeceased by his father, Maurice Mullett, and father-in-law, Ralph Evans. Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Sunday, February 27th 2011, Mina Crewe, age 87. Predeceased by her husband, Heber, brothers, Ches, Bruce, Aidan, son-in-law Ernest Burden. Predeceased by his parents, Ebert and Martha Goodyear, brothers-in-law; Jabez Gray, Martin Stokes, Fred Stratton and Lloyd Goodyear and sister-in-law; Flora Tiller. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Iola, son, Kirk (Faye) of Cape Freels, daughter; Debbie Abbott of Musgrave Harbour, brother; Charles (Millie) of Lumsden, sisters; Edith Stokes of Pound Cove, Myra Hounsell (Lloyd) of Valleyfield, sisters-in-law; Lizzie Goodyear of Lumsden, Joyce Clarke (Arnold) of Gander, Susie Gray of Gander, brother-in-law; Morley Goodyear (Ada) of Lumsden, 4 grandchildren; Christopher Abbott (Trina) of Fort McMurray, Sarah Stokes (Jimmy-Lee) of St. John's, Ashley Goodyear (Greg) of St. John's, Lucas Goodyear of Cape Freels, several nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Left with loving memories are his wife, Joy, son, Lloyd (Leanne) of Edmonton, AB., daughters, Laurie of Gander, Lisa of Courtenay, BC., brother, Edward (Nellie) of Gander, sister, Jean of Toronto, Mildred of Barrie, Marjorie of Frankford, ON., Shirley (Roy) Winsor of Corner Brook, Sylvia (Bill) Bennett of Deer Lake, sisters-in-law, Eileen, Judy, Carol (Chris Bailey), Betty (Van Brindle), Gloria (Greg Watt) brother-in-law Calvin (Debbie), grandchildren Robert, Ryan, Michael, and Noah. NOONAN, Mary -
Mary Noonan
was born in Northern Bay, Newfoundland on January 13th, 1920 and after a full and wonderful life passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center on February 28th, 2011. As a long time resident of Gander, Mary was widely known and loved as a gentle woman with a loving and caring heart. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael and son, James, her parents, John and Bridget Hinchey, brothers, Jim (Ellen), William (Jane) and Patrick, sisters, Agatha and Madeline. Left with fond and beautiful memories are sons, Ray (Joan) and Greg (Debbie), beloved grandchildren, Christopher (Suzanne), Anthony, Melissa, Michael and Erica and her great-grandchildren, Dylan and Dayna, her brother, Morgan (Margaret) and sisters, Angela Philpott (Myles), Helen and sisters-in-law, Carrie Hinchey and Ann Noonan. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Father Salas and Dr. Carmel Casey as well as the Staff of the James Paton Memorial Health Center for the loving care shown to Mary during her illness. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church in Gander at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 3rd . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
