Passed peacefully away on Monday, February 4, 2008, Mary Margaret
Kelly, aged 81 of Gambo. Predeceased by her husband, Harry,
her parents, Thomas and Gertrude Fitzgerald, sister, Eileen and brother,
Patrick. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Brendan
(Marlene), Bob (Sadie), Jerry ( Sharon); daughter, Esther (Patrick)

Passed peacefully away on Monday, February 4, 2008 at
James Paton Memorial Hospital Gander, Melvin Lynn Saunders,
aged 62. Predeceased by parents, Lewis and Winnie Saunders and brother,
Roger. Left to mourn his wife, Olive (nee Brown), sons, Douglas (Eleanor)
of Tuktoyaktuk, N.W.T., and Dale (Tammy) of St. John’s, daughter,
April Lush of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Brittany (Cody) and Brett Lush
and Renita Ross; great-granddaughter, Brody Lynn Velders; brother, Gerald

Passed peacefully in the arms of his parents after a brief illness on February
6th, 2008, Willie Sheppard, age 16 years. Left
to mourn his beloved parents, Dean and Denise, his grandparents, Don
and Eugenie Durfy of Corner Brook and Cyril and Millicent Sheppard
of Corner Brook, his uncles, Robert (Shireen) Durfy of Toronto, John
(Carol) Durfy of Oakville, Sean (Tracey) Durfy of Calgary, Bernard
(Gloria) Sheppard of Springdale, Byron (Patricia) Sheppard of Lewisporte,
and aunt, Phyllis (Tom) Tokarchuk of Oakville, along with many cousins
and a wide circle of friends and surrogate family. Funeral Service
was held Friday, February 8th from Fraser Road United Church, Gander.

KELLY, Frank –
Passed peacefully away on February 15th, 2008 in
the presence of his family, Frank Kelly of Gambo. Born
December 6, 1927, the son of Garrett Kelly and Catherine Jesseau. Married
Eileen Stockley on September 25, 1950 and together they raised 14 children.
He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Mary (Mike Hickey), Angela
(Bernard O’Keefe), Helen (Greg Moss), Blanche (John Moss), Kathleen
(Anthony) and brothers, Billy, Tommy, Daniel (Lucy), Louie ( Carmel)
and Garrett(Barb). Left to mourn is his loving and devoted wife, Eileen
and children, Brian ( Frances), Garrett (Rolla), Maureen (Paul), Bob
(Charlene), Sharon (Geoff), Fred (Andrea), Frank (Barb), Ross (Cathy),
Josephine (Albert), Kate (Gene), Noel (Jennifer), Ian (Linda), Wayne
(Cherie) and Jason (Jeha). His brother, Tom (Margaret) and sisters, Bride,
Madeline (Bob), Anastasia; sister-in-law, Barbara Kelly along with a
large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and
a great many friends. His remains were resting at Pritchett’s Funeral
Home in Gambo with visitations scheduled on February 17th and

home at Birchy Bay, were she resided under the care of Carl and Verley
Mews, Neta Goodyear, aged 86 years formerly of Newtown,
Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by her parents, Allan and Jane Vincent; husband,
Caleb Goodyear; brothers, Roy and Bramwell Vincent; sisters, Amy Bungay,
Joyce White, brothers-in-law; Carmen White, Abi Bungay. Left to mourn
with fond and loving memories her brother, Raymond Vincent, residing
at Lakeside Homes, Gander and sister-in-law, Minnie residing at Otterbury
Manor, Wesleyville; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Roma Villeneuve

after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Joyce Chipman
Hiscock of Gander, aged 77 years. She is predeceased by her
husband, Hubert; baby daughter, Elizabeth; parents, Robert and Rebecca
Chipman; brother, Arthur; sister, Ann (Carrigan) and Dorothy (Abbott)
and brother-in-law, Jim Carrigan. Left behind to celebrate her life and
mourn her passing are four children, Colleen (Ken Stack), Fraser, Gary
(Donna) of Gander Gerald (Jeanette) of Spaniard’s Bay; grandchildren,
Robert, Scott, Amanda, Andrew, and Katie; former daughter-in-law, Maureen;
brothers-in-law, Gerald Abbot of Spaniard’s Bay, Albert Hiscock
(Phyllis) and Gerald Hiscock (Helene) of Trinity; nieces and nephews;
caregivers, especially Shirley Saunders and Pauline Summers; special
friends, Rosie and Eileen and a large circle of friends at both Gander
and her birthplace, Spaniard’s Bay. Cremation has taken place.

Salvation Army Cemetery in Carmanville with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey

the Health Sciences Centre, St, John's, Arthur Graham Earle,
aged 61 years. Predeceased by his father, Arthur Graham Earle of Carbonear.

MILLS, Leo Kenneth –
Passed peacefully away on Friday,
February 29th, 2008, Leo Kenneth Mills, age 95
years. Predeceased by his wife, Catherine; 2 infant children, James
and Catherine; and brother, Pierce. Left to mourn, with fond and loving
memories are his daughter, Elizabeth (Corey) Gill of Gander and granddaughter,
Catherine. He was a member of the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit
#1808 during World War II.. He will be remembered by a large circle
