DWYER, Susie Alma
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, on Saturday, February 5, 2005, Susie Alma Dwyer of Gander, formerly of Harbour Grace, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband, Edward (Ned), son, George and daughter, Catherine (Kay). Left to mourn five daughters, Doris (Jim) Scharpegge and Ruth Dwyer (Dave), both of Gander, Jean (Doug) Buchanan of Lower Sackville, NS, Pat (Terry) Oake of Gander and Susan (Joe) Howell of Mount Pearl; five sons, Gordon (Joan) of Brampton, ON, Ed (Cheryl) of Gander, Jack (Linda) of Gambo, Philip (Joanne) of Bramalee, ON, and Terry (Connie of Langley, BC; daughter-in-law, Linda Dwyer of Harbour Grace; son-in-law, Peter Sheppard of Harbour Grace; a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Olsen (Doris) Noseworthy of St. John's, and Jack (Betty) Noseworthy of Mount Pearl; one sister, Mildren Stone of Chamberlains; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Fr. F.J. Aylward conducted the Funeral Mass on February 8th at St. Joseph 's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment took place at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. SAUNDERS, Captain Joseph Kenneth, aged 87 years
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, on Sunday, February 6, 2005. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Hattie (nee Traverse); sons, Austin, Gordon (Holly), Rex (Debbie); daughters, Margaret (Gene Hogan), Isabelle (Larry Horlick); 10 loving grandchildren and one loving great-grandchild; as well as a large circle of friends and relatives. Funeral service was held at Glovertown United Church on Wednesday, February 9th, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Vardy officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home, Glovertown.

STANELY, Violet May
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on February 7, 2005 Violet M. Stanley, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon Stanley. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Robert of Gander, NL and Winston of Brampton, ON, daughter, Gloria of Atkinson, NH, USA; grandchildren, Dwight, David, James, Debby, Richard, Scott, Gordon and Janet, 10 great grandchildren, sisters, Dora of St. John's, NL, Ivy of St. John's, NL, Kay of Toronto, ON and Grace of Nestleton, ON, as well as a large number of family and friends. WATERMAN, Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Thursday, February 10, 2005, Elizabeth Waterman, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband, Bert, mother and father, Sarah and Levi Freake, two sisters, Love Burry and Mary Jane (Polly) Lewis; one brother, Arthur Freake; son-in-law, Stan Crummey and nephew, Levi Burry. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughter, Mary (Crummey) Snook (George) of Western Bay, NL; two sons, Gerald (Annie) of Boyds Cove, NL and Bert (Roma) of Ottawa, ON; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of family and friends. CHAULK, Jesse Urial
Passed peacefully away at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, Botwood, NL on February 15, 2005, Jesse Urial Chaulk of Deadman's Bay, age 79 years. Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Christian Chaulk; grandson, Wilson, Jr.; brothers, George, Richard, Lewis, Cecil; sisters, Jane and Ida. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Vera; three sons, Curtis of Deadman's Bay, Gordon (Louise) of Gander, Wilson (Linda) of Grand Falls; one daughter, Joan Whalen (Tom) of Gander; one brother, Stanley (Cassie) of Deadman's Bay; three sisters, Violet Vincent (Lester) of Newtown, Josephine Stokes of Wabush and Ada Russell (frank) of Ontario; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on February 18th at the United Church, Deadman's Bay with Capt. Paul Rideout officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Deadman's Bay. ROGERS, Marjorie
Passed peacefully away on February 18, 2005 at Brookfield Hospital, Marjorie Rogers of Centreville, age 83 years. Predeceased by her parents, Archelaus and Maria Ackerman; son-in-law, Morgan Lockyer; brother, Elias; sister-in-law, Clarence Pickett. Left to mourn with fond and beautiful memories are her husband of 64 years, Lester; one son, Kevin (Maisie) of Centreville with whom she resided; three daughters, Gladys Pike (Don) of Wood Point, Bonne Bay, Emma Brown (Jeff) of Centreville, Marie Lockyer of Fort McMurray; one sister-in-law, Ethel Pickett of Centreville; one brother-in-law, Ronald Rogers of Centreville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on February 21st at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Sam Rose officiating. Interment followed at St. Barnabas Anglican Church Cemetery, Centreville. LEDREW, Weston L.
Passed peacefully away on February 19, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Weston L. LeDrew, aged 92 years. Predeceased by his wife, Mildred in 2000. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons, Orville (Joan) of Change Islands, NL, Barry (Jean) of St. John's, NL, and Everett (Neola) of Change Islands, NL; daughters, Dona (Ivan Taverner) of Fort McMurray, AB and Mavis LeDrew of Kitchener-Waterloo, ON; sister, Winnie Fancy of Lewisporte, NL; sister-in-law, Clara LeDrew of St. John's, NL; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; as well as a large number of other family and friends. Funeral service was held on February 22nd at the Salvation Army Citadel, Change Islands with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Change Islands. SEAWARD, Augustus
Passed away at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center in Botwood on February 20, 2005, Mr. Augustus Seaward of Musgrave Harbour in his 90th year. Predeceased by his parents, Isaiah and Clara Seaward, wife, Hilda (Parsons) and two brothers, Maxwell and Harvey. Left to mourn and thankful for his life are nephews, Douglas and Betty Seaward, Michelle and Tracy and families of Bishop's Falls, and Donald Philemena, Dylan and Sea of St. John's; two cousins, Larry Gladney of Clarenville and Errol Seaward of St. John's and families, and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on February 23rd at the United Church in Musgrave Harbour. Interment at the United Church Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour. BUNGAY, Martha
Passed peacefully away on February 22, 2005 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, Martha Bungay of Trinity, B. Bay, age 82 years. Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Frances Brown; husband, Alphaeus; two brothers, Marshall and George; and son-in-law, Whytifield Brown. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are five sons, Theodore (Violet) of Trinity, Wilfred (Hazel) of Trinity, Gerald (Emma) of Ontario, Eugene (Phyllis) of Trinity, Rick (Jane) of Trinity; two daughters, Florence Gibbons (Jacob) of Ontario, Irene Brown of Trinity; one brother, Malcolm (Stella) of Ontario; one sister, Susie Preston (Jibes) of Trinity; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away on February 25, 2005 at Brookfield Hospital, Calvin Elliott of Landsmen, age 64 years. Predeceased by his parents, Hubert and Minnie Elliott; father and mother-in-law, Boyce and Melinda Gibbons. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Denise and Roxanne of Lumsden; two sons, Wayne (Joan), Randy (Kim), all of Bonavista; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Susan, Andrea, Nancy, Riley, Bradley and Nikki; five great-grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Christina, Marcus and Matthew; two brothers, Murray (Irene) of Bonavista, Karl (Peggy) of Moncton, NB; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. PICKETT, Marion L.
Passed peacefully away on February 25, 2005 at Brookfield Hospital, Marion L. Pickett, age 82 years. Predeceased by her parents, Malcolm and Cinderella Rogers; brother, Reginald Rogers. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Thomas; her children, Leslie (Patricia), Pauline (Harvey), Meryl (Ann), Dorman (Shirley), Dawn (Todd); also left to mourn are nine grandchildren, Kirk, Barry, Leslie, Maureen, Stephen, Janice, Jeanne, Dion and Michael; eight great-grandchildren, Heather, Ashley, Katie, Michael, William, Tyler, Elizabeth and Tyrell; she will also be missed by a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on February 28th at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Sam Rose officiating assisted by Rev. Harry Spurrell. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Centreville. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville. SNOW, Dorcas
Passed peacefully away on February 26, 2005 at Lakeside Homes, Dorcas Snow, age 96 years. Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; sons, Victor (age 21), Edgar (age 20); daughter, Louise Heath (age 54); granddaughter, Jennifer (age 15 months), brothers, Baxter Wells and Stanley Wells and daughter-in-law, Ruby. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Malcolm (Violet) of Wings Point, NL, Clayton (Marjorie) of Gander, NL, Cluney of Wing's Point, NL, and Frank (Jean) of Wing's Point, NL; daughter, Pearl (Harvey Sr.) of Wing's Point, NL; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. BARBOUR, Neta E.
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Home in Gander on February 28, after a year long illness, Neta E. Barbour of Shoal Harbour. Predeceased by her loving husband, Fred, sisters, Maisie and Ida and brother-in-law, Harry. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, sister, Jean Duffett, nephews, Tolson (Pat) and Terry (Sheila), nieces, Deenie (Wayne), Janeen (Richard) and Marion; as well as several great-nephews and nieces, and many other friends and relatives. Funeral services were held at the Memorial United Church in Clarenville on March 3rd.

This day will be remembered and quietly kept;
There will be no need for reminders Aunt Nin;
We will never forget.

BURT, Effie Blanche, 1925 - 2005
Passed peacefully away on February 28, 2005 at Oram's Birchview Manor, Glovertown, Effie Blanche Butt, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband, Verdun Butt and sister, Mary Helen Saunders. Left to mourn, sons, Maxwell (Sarah) of Brampton, ON, Sam (Neta) of Glovertown, Harold of Glovertown, Kevin (Dianne) of Clarenville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Morgan. Funeral service was held on March 3rd at Faith United Church, Glovertown with interment at the Hillside Memorial Cemetery, Glovertown. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home, Glovertown.
