ROBERTS, Kathryn Marlene -
Passed peacefully away after a brave battle with breast cancer at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Friday, December 8, 2006, aged 48. Recently predeceased by her mother, Joy Roberts. A loving mother and devoted nurse, left to cherish Kathie's life are her adoring children, Heidi and Benjamin Matthews; father, Doyle Roberts; sisters, Carol Over (John), Nancy Parsons (Shane); brother, Michael; nieces and nephews; Kerstin, John, Hayley, Zackary, Jennifer and Jacob; aunts, Marie, Shirley (Heber), Bernice (Gerald) and Barbara (Calvin); best friend, Angela and dears friends, Marilyn, Judy and Maxine; and cat, Daisy. The family would like to tank all friends, caregivers and co-workers, particularly the nurses and staff at the Pallative Care Unit and the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre for their enduring kindness and compassion over the past several weeks. Special thanks as well to Dr. Brent Tompkins and Pastor John Murley for their care and support. Visitation took will at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on, Saturday and Sunday. Funeral service took place December 11th from St. James United Church. LEWIS, Sybil -
Passed peacefully away on December 8, 2006, Sybil Lewis (nee Loder) of Llanelli, South Wales, Great Britain, formerly of Thoroughfare, Random Island, NL, in her 90th year. Predeceased in 1999 by her husband, Idris. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are two sons, Keith ( Elizabeth ) in England and Clive (Marged) in south Wales; three grandchildren, Helen, Richard and Owen. Lovingly remembered by sister, Marion Davis of Deer Lake, NL; sister-in-law, Ruby Loder of St. John's; nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral will take place from the Methodist Bethesda Chapel in Llangenech, Llaneilli.

HILLIER, Gertrude Ann -
Passed peacefully away on December 10, 2006 at Brookfield Hospital, Gertrude Ann Hillier of Valleyfield, aged 94 years. Predeceased by her husband, Benjamin; parents, Stanley and Druscella Kean; three sons, Frank, Harry and Norman; sisters, Jane Blundon, Dinah Noel; brother, Roland Kean and cousin, Dinah Green. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Roland ( Florence ) of Valleyfield, Clyde (Virginia) of Mount Pearl; daughter, Lorraine (Peter Stockley) of Valleyfield; sister, Lilly Short of St. John's; three grandchildren, Derek (Sheila) of Valleyfield, Karen (Scott Parsons) of Mount Pearl, Joyce (Herwin Humphries) of Pound Cove; five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brittany, Samantha, Olivia, Ian; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on December 14th at the United Church, Valleyfield with Rev. Heather Sandford officiating, assisted by Pastor Dwayne Mews. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Valleyfield. Donations in her memory may be made to the United Church, Valleyfield. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.

JERRETT, Doris -
Passed peacefully away on December 13, 2006 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, where she resided, Doris Jerrett, formerly of Greenspond, age 94 years. Predeceased by her parents, Moses and Sarah Janes, husband, Alexander John Jerrett; four brothers and seven sisters. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Arthur (Dale) of Greenspond; grandchildren, Lori Byrne (Martin) of Carterton, England and Scott Jerrett of Middle Sackville, NS; two sisters-in-law, Annie Granter and Louise Jerrett, both of Greenspond; and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was held on December 16th at the United Church, Greenspond with Rev. H. Sandford officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Shambler's Cove, Greenspond. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.

NOEL, Myra -
Passed peacefully away on December 14, 2006 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Myra Noel, age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband, Jordan and brother, Lester Pike. Forever remembered and loved by daughters, Patsey Wiseman (Bill) of Gander, Shirley Hussey (Jerry) of Gander, Pauline Kelly (Eugene) of Gambo; grandchildren, Rodney (Rennie), Jeff (Tina), Jennifer (Mike), Jason (Stephanie) and Lisa (Steve); great-grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, Logan, Hunter, Jared and Jaden; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. PARSONS, Violet May -
Passed away on December 17, 2006 at the Gander Lakeside Home, Violet May Parsons, age 82 years. Predeceased by her husband, Baxter; parents, Lodge and Eleanor (Nellie) Diamond; two sons, Calvin Steward and Eldon John; sisters, June, Maggie Hopkins, Hazel Carter, Sadie Saunders; brothers, Edward, Alfred, Stanley, John, Horatio, Baxter and William. Left to mourn with loving memories are three daughters, Dulcie (Eric) Davis, Pansy Parsons, Margaret (timothy) Kessler; son, David Parsons; seven grandchildren, Geoffrey (Jessie), Jason, Amy Davis, John Parsons, Shane Keats, Jason, Ashley Parsons; three great-grandchildren, Javen, Aria, Kaelin Davis; nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held on December 21, 2006 at the Faith United Church, Glovertown with Rev. Paul Vardy officiating, assisted by Major William Hopkins. Interment followed at the Riverside United Church Cemetery, Glovertown. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home, Glovertown.

JONES, Lloyd Wilson (1923-2006) -
Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on December 18, 2006, Lloyd Wilson Jones. Left with wonderful memories are his wife, Emily (Samson); sons, Derek (Barbara), Donald (Rita) and Peter; granddaughter, Courtney; brother, Maxwell (Sylvia); many relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on December 21st at St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral, Gander. The family would like to thank the staff of the James Paton Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes on Thursday, December 21, 2006, Vera Mae Cheeks (nee Russell). Predeceased by her husband, Frank Cheeks; father, Harry Russell; mother, Annie Russell-Genge (nee Harnum); father-in-law, Thomas Cheeks; mother-in-law, Kathleen Cheeks; and stepfather; Lewis Genge. Leaving to mourn sons, Tom (Ruth) of Gander, NL and David (Kim) of Gander, NL; daughters, Carol (Fred Hiscock) of Fort McMurray, AB and Verna (Bill Blandford) of Gander, NL; grandchildren, Stephanie Haazzenbrook (nee Hiscock), William Hiscock, Diane Saunders (nee Hiscock), David Blandford, Amanda Blandford, Amy cheeks, Pamela Cheeks and Benjamin Cheeks; great-grandchildren, Douglas Saunders and Blair Hiscock; and sister, Judy (Clayton Oram) of Glovertown, NL. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Gander in the spring of 2007. KEATS, Wilbert Noah -
Passed away suddenly on December 23, 2006, Wilbert Noah Keats, of Glovertown, aged 59 years. Predeceased by his father, Fred Keats, grandfather, Walter Keats, grandmother, Lillian Keats and grandchild, Victoria Myrick. Left to mourn his mother, Rebecca Keats; devoted wife, Dorothy; sons, Wayne (Lisa), Justin; daughters, Shirley, Sheila (Melvin Lambe), Theresa (Russ) Foster, Tina (Darren) Myrick; grandchildren, Ashley, Chantelle, Stacey, Rebecca, Daniel, Sarah, Joshua, Justina, James, Wayne and DJ; sisters, Theresa (Raymond) Langdon, ON, Juanita (Roland) Stead, Glovertown, and Maisie (Lester) Davis, Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of friends and relatives. Rested at Oram's Funeral Home, Glovertown. Funeral service was held on December 27th from Faith United Church, Glovertown.

Ennis, Susie Jane -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, Susie Ennis of Hare Bay, age 82 years. Predeceased by her husband, Frank; parents, Hannah and Adam Parsons; and sister, Frances Collins. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her six sons, Leonard (Mabel) of Hare Bay, Michael (Jane) of St. John's, Leo (Cathy) of Gander, Jesse (Judy) of Gander, Tony of Ontario, Ewan (Corinne) of Ontario; two daughters, Hannah (Jim Parsons) of Dover, Pearl (David Rogers) of Hare Bay; five brothers; five sisters; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a very large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Saturday, December 30th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Hare Bay. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Hare Bay.

NORRIS, Hamutal -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Friday, December 29, 2006, Hamutal Norris, age 83 years, of Trinity. Predeceased by her husband, Israel ; sister, Stella Brown; brother, Harold Gover; sister-in-law, Martha Gover. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is her brother-in-law, Jacob Brown of Trinity; several nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on January 1, 2007 at St. Alban's Anglican Church with Rev. Wayne Short officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Trinity. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.

MUSSEAU, Harold -
Passed away at his home in Gander on December 30, 2006, Harold Musseau, age 68 years. Predeceased by his father, Thomas; brothers, Jim, Thomas and George Musseau; brother-in-law, John Samms. Left with loving memories are his wife, Donna; daughters, Jody and Tina; son, Jim; mother, Agnes; two grandchildren, Crystal and Samantha; sisters, Nina Samms; brother, Nelson (Shirley) Musseau; sister-in-law, Cathy Musseau; and also a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A memorial service was held January 4, 2007 from Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Inurnment to follow in the spring at the Anglican Cemetery, Codroy, NL. Passed peacefully away at her home in Gander on December 31, 2006, Donna Barnes, aged 68 years. Predeceased by her husband, Sterling in 2001 and her parents, Margarita and James LeBuffe. Left with loving memories are her sons, Sandy of Gander, NL and Donald of Gander, NL; daughters, Melanie (Blaine Hearn) of Gander, NL and Holly Barnes of Toronto, ON; sister, Jean Butt (Maybin) of Springdale, NL; grandchildren, John and Daniel Michaud, Victoria and Stephanie Hearn; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. TULK, Lloyd -
Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Sunday, December 31, 2006, Mr. Lloyd Tulk of Carmanville in his 79th year. Predeceased by his parents, Abel and Beatrice; first wife, Hazel; two sisters, Pearl Sheppard and Gwendolyn Tulk and brother-in-law, Eric Sheppard. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Dorothy Tulk; three sons, Donald (Kathy) of Carmanville, Bruce of Carmanville and Wilbert (Carol) of Wayne Fleet, ON; two daughters, Marion Gillingham (Carl) of Carmanville and Iona (Harrietha Gordon) of Welland, ON; two step-daughters, terry and Reginald Luther of Ontario and one Step-daughter, Sheila Ramshaw (Phillip) of Ontario; one sister, Marion Sheppard of Carmanville; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Thursday, January 4th from St. Martin's Anglican Church, Gander. Interment followed at the All Saints Cemetery, Gander. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander/Carmanville.
