ROBERTS, Kathryn Marlene -
Passed peacefully away after a brave battle with breast cancer at the
L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Friday, December 8,
2006, aged 48. Recently predeceased by her mother, Joy Roberts.
A loving mother and devoted nurse, left to cherish Kathie's life are her
adoring children, Heidi and Benjamin Matthews; father, Doyle Roberts; sisters,
Carol Over (John), Nancy Parsons (Shane); brother, Michael; nieces and
nephews; Kerstin, John, Hayley, Zackary, Jennifer and Jacob; aunts, Marie,
Shirley (Heber), Bernice (Gerald) and Barbara (Calvin); best friend, Angela
and dears friends, Marilyn, Judy and Maxine; and cat, Daisy. The family
would like to tank all friends, caregivers and co-workers, particularly
the nurses and staff at the Pallative Care Unit and the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy
Cancer Centre for their enduring kindness and compassion over the past
several weeks. Special thanks as well to Dr. Brent Tompkins and Pastor
John Murley for their care and support. Visitation took will at Carnell's
Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on, Saturday and Sunday. Funeral service

Passed peacefully away on December
8, 2006, Sybil Lewis (nee Loder) of
Llanelli, South Wales, Great Britain, formerly of Thoroughfare, Random
Island, NL, in her 90th year. Predeceased in 1999 by her husband,
Idris. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are two sons, Keith ( Elizabeth
) in England and Clive (Marged) in south Wales; three grandchildren, Helen,
Richard and Owen. Lovingly remembered by sister, Marion Davis of Deer Lake,
NL; sister-in-law, Ruby Loder of St. John's; nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral will take place from the Methodist Bethesda Chapel in Llangenech,
Llaneilli.

Passed peacefully away on December
10, 2006 at Brookfield
Hospital, Gertrude Ann Hillier of Valleyfield, aged
94 years. Predeceased by her husband, Benjamin; parents, Stanley and Druscella
Kean; three sons, Frank, Harry and Norman; sisters, Jane Blundon, Dinah
Noel; brother, Roland Kean and cousin, Dinah Green. Left to mourn with
fond and loving memories are her sons, Roland ( Florence ) of Valleyfield,
Clyde (Virginia) of Mount Pearl; daughter, Lorraine (Peter Stockley)
of Valleyfield; sister, Lilly Short of St. John's; three grandchildren,
Derek (Sheila) of Valleyfield, Karen (Scott Parsons) of Mount Pearl, Joyce
(Herwin Humphries) of Pound Cove; five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brittany,
Samantha, Olivia, Ian; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held on December 14th at the United Church, Valleyfield
with Rev. Heather Sandford officiating, assisted by Pastor Dwayne Mews.
Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Valleyfield. Donations

Lodge, Badger's Quay, where she resided, Doris Jerrett,
formerly of Greenspond, age 94 years. Predeceased by her parents, Moses
and Sarah Janes, husband, Alexander John Jerrett; four brothers and seven

(Dale) of Greenspond; grandchildren, Lori Byrne (Martin) of Carterton,

Sadie Saunders; brothers, Edward, Alfred, Stanley, John, Horatio, Baxter

JONES, Lloyd Wilson (1923-2006) - Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on December
18, 2006, Lloyd Wilson Jones. Left with wonderful
memories are his wife, Emily (Samson); sons, Derek (Barbara), Donald
(Rita) and Peter; granddaughter, Courtney; brother, Maxwell (Sylvia);

Wednesday, December 27, 2006, Susie Ennis of Hare Bay,
age 82 years. Predeceased by her husband, Frank; parents, Hannah and Adam
Parsons; and sister, Frances Collins. Left to mourn with fond and loving
memories are her six sons, Leonard (Mabel) of Hare Bay, Michael (Jane)
of St. John's, Leo (Cathy) of Gander, Jesse (Judy) of Gander, Tony of Ontario,
Ewan (Corinne) of Ontario; two daughters, Hannah (Jim Parsons) of Dover,
Pearl (David Rogers) of Hare Bay; five brothers; five sisters; 19 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a very large

December 30th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Hare Bay. Interment was at the
Salvation Army Cemetery, Hare Bay.

Friday, December 29, 2006, Hamutal Norris, age 83 years,
of Trinity. Predeceased by her husband, Israel ; sister, Stella Brown;
brother, Harold Gover; sister-in-law, Martha Gover. Leaving to mourn with
fond and loving memories is her brother-in-law, Jacob Brown of Trinity;
