STAMP, Rose -
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes in Gander on December 4, 2005, Rose Stamp, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, Richard E. and daughter, Paula Parrott. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are son, Richard J. (Louise) of Gander, NL; daughter, Terry (Lorne) of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie, Scott, David and Adam; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Daymian; sister, Anne Fitzgerald of Waterloo, ON; and son-in-law, Gary Parrott (partner Lisa Anstey). Funeral mass was held on December 7th at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Gander, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. BROWN, Marjorie Cavell (Wilkins) -
Marjorie Cavell Brown (Wilkins) was born on March 19, 1933 and passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on December 8, 2005, age 72. Predeceased by her husband, Charlie; parents, Alexander and Gladys Wilkins; brother, Samuel Wilkins. Marjorie also leaves to mourn her brother, Nat Wilkins; sisters, Olive (Kenneth) Sturge, Susie (Adolphus) Stockely; sister-in-law, Susie (Samuel) Wilkins; seven daughters; five sons; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was held on December 10 th at the Salvation Army, New-Wes-Valley with Captain Paul Rideout officiating. Interment followed at Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook on December 10, 2005. Arrangements entrust to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove.

REID, Roland John -
Passed away suddenly at his residence in Adeytown on Friday, December 9, 2005, Roland John Reid, formerly of St. John's , age 61 years. Predeceased by his father, Maxwell Reid, and father-in-law, Harry Bartlett. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Kurt and Karl (Lesley); mother, Sarah Reid; mother-in-law, Jean Bartlett; two sisters, Grace (Robert) Williams and Jennifer (Peter) Babb; brother-in-law, Peter Bartlett (Jackie); special aunt and uncle, Florence and Don Randell; nephews, Brett (Nicky) Williams, Peter Williams, Douglas, Steven and Phillip Bartlett; niece, Jennifer Williams; as well as a large circle of relatives, friends and valued employees. Cremation has taken place and respecting Roland's wishes, a private family gathering is planned. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lung Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.

SPURRELL, Ethel -
Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on December 9, 2005, Ethel Winsor Spurrell of Badger's Quay, age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband, Nathan Spurrell; parents, Samuel and Florence Brown; brothers, Robert, Charles and Bertram Brown; sisters-in-law, Annie, Susie and Mary; step-daughter, Sybil and husband, Reginald Janes; stepson, Spencer and wife, Evelyn Spurrell; stepsons-in-law, Clifton Hoyles and Baxter Keats. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Clayton (Mildred) of Badger's Quay; daughter, Eileen (Calvin Janes) of Pool's Island; stepdaughters, Annie Keats of Ontario, Viorene Hoyles of St. John's; grandchildren, Tracey (Ted), Carolyn (Nick), Danielle, Sheldon (Michelle); great-grandchildren, Victoria and Alexa; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on December 11th at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay with Rev. Trevor's officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Badger's Quay. WHITE, Dorothy Joyce -
Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, on December 11, 2005, Dorothy Joyce White of Newtown, age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband, Carman; brother, Bramwell; sister, Imy. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Lindburgh (Sarah) of Newtown, Raymond (Shirley) of Lower Sackville, NS, Wayne (Ruby) of St. John's, William (Mary) of Newtown; daughters, Ruby (Kenneth Stockley) of Manuels, Jean (Clifford Forristal) of Manuels, Judy (Vaughan Davis) of Wesleyville, Olive White of Newtown, Marilyn (Wayne Perry) of Newtown; brother, Raymond Vincent (Minnie) of Newtown; sister, Neta Bungay of Birch Bay; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. WEST, George Urail -
Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on December 12, 2005, George Urail West of Lumsden, age 82 years. Predeceased by his parents, George and Jemiah West; brothers, Everett, Charlie, Arthur and George; sisters, Violet West and Emma Hicks; parents-in-law, Nora and Kenneth Faulkner; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Stokes (Baxter), Effie Cook (Allister), Alma Chaulk (Lewis), Bessie Mouland; brothers-in-law, Curtis, Charlie and Stanley (Lil). Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Rita; son, Carl (Glenda) of Lumsden; daughter, Marie Wheaton (Wayne) of Carmanville; brothers-in-law, Walter Faulkner and Maxwell Mouland; sisters-in-law, Mary Faulkner, Margaret Faulkner and Myrtis West; grandchildren, Kelly Glover (Corey), Kevin West (Pamela), Michael Wheaton (Lauretta) and Mark Wheaton (Jaala); great-grandchildren, Brianna, Jillian, Desmond, Ethan, Jonathan and Brittany; several nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. MALCOVITCH, Walter -
Passed away suddenly at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on December 12, 2005, Mr. Walter Malcovitch, age 68. Left with fond and loving memories is spouse, Mary Andrews of Gander; sister, Dorothy and Elmer Boldt of Winty, ON, Linda and Darrel Firth of Newmarket, ON, Betty and Edgar Lacombe of Winty, ON; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Cremation was held on December 12th and a funeral service was held on December 14th at St. Martin 's Church, Gander. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. CRITCHLEY, Irene (June 16, 1915 - December 15, 2005) -
Irene passed peacefully away on December 15, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by parents, Jesse and Elizabeth White; husband, Zacheaus Ward; sister, Effie White; brothers, John White and Philip White; and son-in-law, Gordon Smith. She leaves to mourn husband, Philip Critchley; son, Gordon Ward (Mae); stepsons, Clarence Hayward (Ward) (Pat), Ken Critchley (Bonnie), Junior Critchley (Cindy) and Terry Critchley (Lisa); daughters, Effie Smith, Winnie Wicks (Gerald), Rachael Giannopoloulos (Nick), Yvonne Randell (Bob), Lily Cramm (John), Fronie Sparkes (Mike) and Elizabeth Pritchett (Glen); stepdaughters, Marie Guthreau (art), Ruby Clarke (Ken), Katie Bungay (Hedley); brother, Herbert White; 21 grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

ROGERS, George -
Passed peacefully away at home on Friday, December 16, 2005, George Rogers of Wareham, age 85 years. Left to mourn his sad loss with fond and loving memories are his sons, Bertram, Ralph (Audrey), Allen (Diane) and daughter, Dallis (Clayton). Sadly missed by his 12 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on December 20th at St. John the Baptist Church, Wareham with Rev. Short and Rev. H. Spurrell officiating. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Wareham. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.

GILLINGHAM, Rybert W. -
Passed peacefully away on December 19, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Rybert W. Gillingham, aged 83 years. Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Alice Gillingham; sister, Dorothy; and father and mother-in-law, Nathaniel and Olive Webb. Passed away at the Health Sciences Complex in St. John's on December 20, 2005, Mr. Reg Reid of Eastport, age 75 years. Mr. Reid is predeceased by his parents, Violet and George; brothers, Elwood and Lew; brothers-in-law, Dave Harnum and Jim Reid. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Lillian of Eastport; daughters, Debi and Raymond Bryanton of Ottawa, ON, Gail and Keith Pike of Gander, NL; brother, Harvey and Sadie of Green's Harbour, NL; sisters, Margaret Reid of Heart's Delight, NL, Nita Harnum of Heart's Delight, NL; sisters-in-law, Benita Reid of Green's Harbour, NL, Hattie Reid of Green's Harbour, NL; grandchildren, Carolyn (nee Bryanton) and Terry Richardson, Brad Pike and Danielle (nee Norman), Andrew Pike; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. BARKHOUSE, Gayeth Margaret -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on December 21, 2005, Gayeth Margaret Barkhouse in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband, John; sisters, Theresa Smith, Eva Tilley, Hilda Conrad and brother, Tobias Butt. Left with loving memories are nieces, Gloria Bishop (Eric) with whom she resided, Myra Goodyear, Irish Lewis (Lawrence), Mina Blackmore, Marjorie Hatcher, Zeta Clark (Mac) and Bertha Scott (Tom), stepdaughter, Phyllis Hilton (Butch). Memorial service was held at Stacey's Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Interment at Dartmouth Memorial Garden.

STACEY, Myrtle Eileen -
Passed peacefully away at her home in Buchans on December 21, 2005, surrounded by her family, Myrtle Eileen Stacey, age 73 years. Predeceased by her husband, Willis (1992) and her parents, Marcus and Minnie Hiscock. Left with loving memories are Mervyn Stacey (Ada) of Buchans, Jerry Stacey (Jane) of Clarenville, Paula Flood (Dennis) of Whitbourne, Peter Stacey (Donna) of Appeleton, Karen Stacey (Fred) of Gander, Kelly Stacey of Buchans. She also leaves behind three sisters, Elizabeth Walsh (Malcolm) of Buchans, Annie Cluett (Herman) of Grande Prairie, AB, Joan Tilley of Buchans; four brothers, Peter Hiscock (Daphne) of St. John's, Mark Hiscock (Pats) of Buchans, Ralph Hiscock (Ethel) of Mount Pearl, Gary Hiscock (Mary Blanche) of Winterton. Nan Stacey always will be and remembered by her 13 grandchildren, Paul, Shannon, Liam, Meghan, Jonathon, Laura, Daryl, Denis, Jennifer, Katherine, Victoria, Hannah and Robert as well as a large circle of other family and many friends. Rested at Buchans United Church. Funeral service was held on December 23 with Rev. David Pearce officiating. Interment took place on December 24th at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. Passed peacefully away at home in Glenwood on December 22, 2005, Madonna Organ, aged 57 years. Predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Catherine Moss. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Leo of Glenwood; sons, Todd (Denise) of Clarenville, NL and Peter (Winnie) of Northwest River, Labrador; daughter, Betty (Matt Myers) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Katie and Kristen Myers, Marcus Organ and Brett and Claire Organ; brothers, Tony (Ivy) of Mary's Harbour, Labrador and Vince (Denise) of Gander, NL; sisters, Alice (Ervin Richards) of Glenwood, NL, Patsy (Wilfred Sansome) of Glenwood, NL, Sis (Fred Purchase) of Glenwood, NL, Anne Marie of Glenwood, NL and RoseAnn (Kevin Leroux) of Glenwood, NL; as well as a number of relatives and friends. GOODYEAR, Ernest Chesley -
Passed away suddenly at Fox Creek, Alberta on December 23, 2005, Ernest Chesley Goodyear of Lumsden, age 61. Predeceased by his parents, George and Dorothy Goodyear; brother, Roland; father-in-law, Alexander Goodyear. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Winnie; sons, Wilbert of Lumsden, Ronald (Maggie) of Valleyfield, Glen (Elaine) of Lumsden, Joe (Marilyn) of Torbay; sisters, Blanche (Cecil Stokes) of Deadman's Bay, Margaret (John Oldford) of Scarborough, ON, Annie (Fred Chafe) of Lumsden, Barbara (Leonard Auchinleck) of St. John's, Mae (Peter Dackers) of Lumsden; special sister, Paul (Guy Battiste) of Scarborough, ON; three grandchildren, Kelly Gibbons, Emma Goodyear and Jaden Timmins; mother-in-law, Trixie Goodyear; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. SMEATON, David (July 18, 1950 - December 23, 2005) -
With great sadness we announce the passing of David, age 55, at St. Paul 's Hospital in Vancouver, BC, with his wife, Linda and son, Bradley by his side. David will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his parents, Fred and Nina (Gander); sisters, Cathy (Ed) of North Bay, ON, April (Mike) of Gander, Tammy (Leigh) of St. John's, and Elizabeth (Serge) of Gatineau, QC; brothers, Freddy, Harry and George of Gander, Randy (Yvonne) of Kingston, NS, Don (Sharon) of Wilson, North Carolina, John of Windsor, ON, Rick (Rhonda) of Hamilton, ON, Philip of Vancouver, Stan (Rennie) of Kentville, NS, Bill (Rhonda) of Lower Sackville, NS, Dennis (Brenda) of Triton, NL and rob of Ottawa, ON. Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on December 25, 2005, William Barbour of Lumsden, age 58 years. Predeceased by his parents, Westbury Barbour and Charlotte Barbour Goodyear; stepfather, Raymond Goodyear; brother, Iver Barbour. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife, Patsy (nee Winsor); sons, Jeff (Wendy), Billy Jr. (Victoria); daughters, Tina (Terry), Lori (Gordon); grandchildren, Patti, Jake, Josh; sister, Elaine (Winston); stepsisters, Betty (Lorenzo), Patsy (Larry); stepbrother, Curtis (Christine); and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on December 25, 2005, Netta Pearl Saunders in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband, Frank; brothers, Lemuel and Douglas Vincent; and sister, Ivy Easton. Left with loving memories are her son, Eugene (Rose) of Glenwood; sister, Hilda Kinden of Stephenville; grandchildren, Michelle (Ricky) Stuckless of Glenwood, Paul (Jo-Ann), Keith (Diane) of Fort McMurray, AB; great-grandchildren, Heather and Lacy of Glenwood, Douglas, Brooklynn of Fort McMurray, AB; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation services took place with inurnment to follow in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.

HUNT, Roland James -
Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on December 31, 2005, Roland James Hunt of Centreville, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife, Florence and brother, Martin. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his common-law wife, Annie Wiseman; two sons, Harvey (Margaret) of Centreville, Malcolm (Margaret) of Ontario; eight daughters, Margaret Parsons of Trinity, Geraldine (James Brown) of Ontario, Anne (Martin Cutler) of Centreville, Jane (Gerald Fahey) of Fermuse, Joan (Jack Winter) of Valleyfield, Gloria (Lawrence Boisvert) of Scarborough, Sharon (Bernard Whey) of Halifax, Pam (Paul Pickett) of Centreville; one sister, Mary Lane of Catalina; 31 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral was held on January 3, 2006 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Wayne Short officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Centreville. Donations in his memory may be made to the Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove-Musgrave Harbour.
