ABBOTT, Eva
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Mrs. Eva Abbott, age 87 years of Musgrave Harbour. Mrs Abbott passed away at Brookfield Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Predeceased by her husband Ernie, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and son-in-law Robert Wilson. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Curtis (Jane) of St. John's, three daughters Margaret Abbott (Allan) of Ottawa, Ont, Carol Sturge (Jack) of Gander, and Deanne Abbott of Ottawa, Ont, 1 brother-in-law Junior Goodyear, 3 sisters-in-law Mereida Abbott, Barbara Pinsent, and Alisha Abbott, four grandchildren Carla Cheeks (Gary), Samantha, Shane, Roger (Veronique), five great-grandchildren Matthew, Ciara, Juliette, Naomi and Lily-Rose. As well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from The United Church in Musgrave Harbour with Rev. George Kean Officiating. CALLAHAN, Clarice
Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Center on August 10th 2015 Clarice Callahan age 84 years. Predeceased by parents Arthur and Emily Hiscock, brothers Oliver, Henry, Bill and sister Jean. Left to mourn with loving memories are husband Patrick Callahan, sons Gerald (Flo) of Bowmanville, ON., Bill of Scarborough, ON., Bob (Jean) of Gander, Craig (Sue) of Allen, Texas, daughters Marie (Paul) of St. John's, Judy of Germantown, Maryland, brother Arthur of P.E.I, Gladys of Frederickton, NB., 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Also a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service was held Friday August 14th at 10:00 A.M. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Clarice's memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation. ELSON, Violet Ellen
January 22, 1957~August 15, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Providence Health Care, Toronto, Ontario, on August 15, 2015, Violet Ellen Elson age 58 years of Deadman's Bay. Predeceased by her son Ryan; parents Eldon and Mary Pearl Goodyear; brothers George and Baxter; sister Blanche; niece Kimberly Ann Goodyear; sisters-in-law Mary and Linda; brothers-in-law Harold West and Newman Stokes. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Bill; sisters Mabel Stokes and Lorraine Mouland (Seaward); brothers Harvey (Celma), Winston (Barbara), Sidney (Shirley), Carson (Ruby), Newman (Mildred), Leo (Joan) and Lawrence (Goldie); sister-in-law Phyllis; father-in-law Donald Elson; sister-in-law Deanne and family; brothers-in-law Jim and family, Terry and family; stepdaughter Denise and family; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. FROUDE, Harvey Lloyd
(May 14, 1934 - August 03, 2015)
Deer Lake, NL
It is with sadness that the family of Harvey Lloyd Froude announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, on Monday August 3rd, 2015, at the age of 81 years. Harvey will be fondly remembered as a soft-hearted and caring man, who considered his wife, Mary, to be the love of his life. Even though Harvey was a hard-working man, he also found time to play the guitar and harmonica, as well as entertain with his step-dancing. Harvey will be missed greatly by his wife, Mary Caravan, his 2 sons: Lonnie (Gail) and Shawn, his 3 sisters: Carrie, Meta and Marie, his 4 grandchildren, and his 4 great-grandchildren. Harvey also leaves to mourn and a large circle of extended family, other relatives friends. He has been predeceased by his previous wife Georgina nee Noftle, his sister Maggie and his parents Albert and Lillian nee Fudge. The memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015, at 2 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, 16 Bennett Ave, Deer Lake, NL. The service will be officiated by a minister of the congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses. The internment will follow at the Jehovah's Witness Cemetery, North Harbour Rd., Pasadena, NL. Passed into her eternal rest on August 21, 2015 at Lakeside Homes, Gander, Winnie B. Lush, formerly of Long Cove and Gambo. Predeceased by her precious firstborn, Nina May; granddaughter Janice; husband, Kenneth; parents, Albert and May Callan; sisters Mildred (Hubert White) and Pearl; brothers Pearce (Alfreda), Silas (Minnie), Fred (Pearl) and Clifford (Phyllis); sisters-in-law Ethel (Robert Saunders), Frances (Lawrence Saunders), Alma (Frank Lane), Clara (Gordon Lush) and Mae (James Mullett); brother-in-law Lawrence (Isobel). Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Bonnie (Harold Pritchett), Loretta, Kathleen (Peter Hogan); grandson Edward Broderick(Kirsten); granddaughters Penny (Neville Wells), Pamela (Ken Billinghurst) Michelle (James Lambert) and April (Philip Earle); Great-grandchildren Michelle, James and William Earle; sister Rita Broomhead (Morley - deceased ). Many cherished nieces and nephews and many others to whom she was "nan Lush". The family appreciates and sends thanks to the many people who helped during her final days, for their care and comfort. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful cousins and friends. A warm thank-you to the staff of Lakeside Homes for their compassionate and professional care. You are deeply appreciated. Passed away in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 at the age of 63. Predeceased by his Father, Nelson and Sister, Cindy Doris. Dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Bonnie for 45 years. Loving son to Elizabeth and Father to Robin, Lynn and Crystal. Will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Amanda, Mackenzie, Macy, Amy, Rebecca, Hayley and Ryan. Many nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of family and friends. Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Saturday, August 8th, 2015, Mary Yarn, age 92. Predeceased by her husband Russell. Left to mourn with loving memories are her son Jim (Sharon) of Edmonton, AB; daughters Joan (William Keough) of Magog, QC; Daphne Harvey of St. John's, Georgina (Ron Luedee) of Gander, Sheila (Gary Woolfrey) of Gander, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, special nephew Ross Marshall of Sackville, NS; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Wednesday, August 12th from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Funeral service was held on August 12th at 2:00 P.M. from St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral.
