CLARKE, Gertie
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center on August 7th 2013 Gertie V. Clarke age 82 years. Predeceased by husband William Thomas Clarke, parents John and Clara Penney, brothers James and Raymond Penney. Left with loving memories are sons Bruce of Toronto, David (Stephanie) of Greenwood, daughters Elizabeth (Russell) Goodyear of Mount Pearl, Joan (George) Michelau of Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Carolyn Clarke and Albert Noseworthy of Gander. Grandchildren Lisa, Kim, Jennifer, Christopher Michelau, Nicole, Andrew, Amanda Goodyear, Christine Noseworthy, Ashlynn Clarke, step grandchildren Terry and Julie Noseworthy. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.

COLES, Barry
(April 23, 1957 - August 1, 2013)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Barry Coles age 56 years of Aspen Cove. Predeceased by his father Harold Coles and sister-in-law Shirley Coles. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Linda; son Adam(Samantha) of Aspen Cove; daughter Melissa(Brandon) of Aspen Cove; mother Lilly Coles of Aspen Cove; brothers Wallace Coles of Aspen Cove and Eddie Coles (Joan) of Summerford; nephews Craig (Faye) of Aspen Cove and Keith (Kayla) of Aspen Cove; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. A memorial service of remembrance took place at Bethel United Church, Aspen Cove on Sunday, August 4, 2013 with Rev. Dianne Crewe officiating. HAYWARD, Cluney Maxwell
(November 13, 1932 - August 1, 2013)

Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on Thursday, August 1, 2013, Mr. Cluney Hayward of Musgrave Harbour in his 80th year. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, parents Maxwell and Valetta Hayward and sister Jean Prince. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his three daughters Mae Abbot (Chesley) of Musgrave Harbour, Eunice Mouland (Wade) of Musgrave Harbour and Pat Pevie (Wade) of Labrador City, three brothers Norman of Gander, Junior (Shirley) of Musgrave Harbour, Bern (Lorna) of Ontario, five sisters Annie Abbott (Newman) of Musgrave Harbour, Audrey Coombs of Ontario, Joan Hayward of Ontario, June Lew (Bing) of Ontario, Peggy Wiseman (Wilbert) of Alabama, five grandchildren Cluney, April, Mitchell, Mandie, Annette, 10 great-grandchildren Tyler, Toby, Morgan, Brock, Ashley, Isabella, Ethan, Aaron, Gracin, and baby girl Gibbs, and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. MAIDMENT, Emily Isabelle
June 30, 1915 - August 31, 2013

Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Saturday, August 31, 2013 Emily Maidment age 98 years of Badger's Quay. Predeceased by her husband Moses Maidment; parents John and Blanche Critchley; daughter-in-law Alma Maidment; brothers Edmund, Martin, Stephen and Albert; sisters Catherine, Mabel and Maude; sisters-in-law Jane Critchley and Sophie Critchley. Left with fond and loving memories are her son Edmund Maidment of Badger's Quay; grandson Lewis of St. John's; granddaughter Catherine of Badger's Quay; great-granddaughter Katherine of Badger's Quay; sister-in-law Bessie Critchley of Calgary, AB.; and other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at Memorial United Church, Valleyfield on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 with Rev. Brian Hannon officiating. Interment followed at The United Church Cemetery, Valleyfield. PARSONS, Paul
The unexpected passing of Corporal Paul Leonard Parsons of Beaverdam, NB, formerly of Gander, Newfoundland occurred at McLeods, NB, on Friday August 30, 2013 at the age of 50. Paul joined the Canadian Military in July 1988 serving with distinction both nationally and on international peacekeeping operations in Bosnia Herzogvina. Originally joining the military as a Vehicle Technician, which was only natural given Paul's love of motorcycles, he later joined the "Wolf Pack" (403 Sqn., Gagetown) where he served as a highly respected Aircraft Structure (ACS) Technician and friend. When not spending time with the love of his life Kim and the girls he could be found riding one of his motorcycles or simply spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly, and daughters Rebecca and Samantha, parents Leonard and Bernice Parsons and Howard Parsons and Christina Powers. Also survived by sister Linda (Mike), sisters- in-law Tina (Wilf) and Lori (Dean), brother-in-law Rob, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Resting at Oromocto Funeral Home, with visitation on Thursday September 5th, 2013, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A service celebrating Paul's life will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, September 6th, 2013 at St Luke's Chapel, CFB Gagetown with Padre Leslie Johnston officiating. SEAWARD, Jean
August 28, 1929 - August 24, 2013

Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander, on August 24, 2013, Jean Seaward in her 84th year. Predeceased by husband Harry (1977); parents Raymond (1972) and Rose (Sheppard) Torraville (1997); brother Owen Torraville (1992); and nephew Owen Chaulk (1974). Left with loving memories are sons Glenn (Klara) of Abbotsford, BC, and Greg (Sandra) of Gander, NL; sister Doreen Chaulk of Victoria Cove, NL; sister-in-law Florence of Lewisporte, NL; grandchildren Adam, Scott & Laura Bradley of Gander; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 27, at 2 p.m. from St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral, Gander. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Home, Gander, on August 15, 2013, Stella Wells of Glovertown South, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband Robert, infant daughter, parents Allan and Eleanor Wells, sisters Elizabeth (James) Wells, Janet (Cyril) Hicks, Evelyn Feltham, son-in-law Raymond Hobbs, sisters-in-law Mary (Nathan) Best, Bride (Wilson) Payne and brother-in-law Jacob Wicks. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, daughters Rita Hobbs, Glovertown South, Gwen (husband Ed) Patten, Gander, very special grandsons David (Myriam), Brian (Rachel) and treasured great grandchildren Olivia and Nathaniel, Trenton, Ontario. Passed away at Bonnews Lodge in Badger's Quay on Friday, August 16, 2013, Reta Whiteway of Musgrave Harbour in her 79th year. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Eva Whiteway and baby brother. Left to mourn with loving memories are her Aunt Evelyn West of Musgrave Harbour and a number of cousins and friends. Funeral service took place on Monday, August 19th from St. Luke's United Church in Musgrave Harbour with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. formally of Gander passed peacefully away in her 86th year at Brookfield Bonnews Lodge Badger's Quay, on Wednesday August 14, 2013 @ 6:35 p.m. Jean was born and raised in Port Nelson with her parents and eleven siblings. Jean is predeceased by her husband Harry Wiseman; parents Cecil and Lillian Wicks; brothers, William, Ernie, Eli, Gerald and sister Carrie. She leaves to mourn her son Harry of Houston, Texas; brothers; Arthur Wicks of Badger's Quay, Donald of Badger's Quay, Lloyd of Thompson, Manitoba, sisters, Frances of Mount Pearl, Marie (Samuel) Burton of Toronto, Stella (Saul) Burry of Badger's Quay. Jean was well loved and will be forever remembered by a large extended family and close friends; Ann Butt of Gander, Larry and Kay Donahue of Gander, Amy Burden of East Port, next door neighbors Daphne and Dave Hanrahan of Gander , guardian angel Don O'Brien of Gander, special cousin Wally Hounsell of Valleyfield.
