GALLAHUE, Thomas (Tom)
December 18, 1954 - August 3, 2012

He will live in our hearts forever as a calm, kind, and deeply spiritual man. He was an amazing father to Jayson who brought joy and pride into his heart and best friend to his wife of 30 years, Kathleen. His sense of humor, hard work ethic, love of music and nature made up the exceptional man that he was. Predeceased by his father and mother, Alphonus formerly of Stock Cove, NL and Bernadette (Power) formerly of Duntara, NL and in more recent years of Gander, NL. A little brother to Gus (Rosalind), Vera (Wayne) and Sadie (Glen), Tom leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place, as well as a Funeral Mass & Burial Service in Ottawa, Ontario. God Bless you gentle man. Rest in Peace.

DRAYCOTT, Deborah I. (nee Smith)
Passed suddenly away, following a tragic vehicle accident on August 4, 2012, Deborah Draycott of Calgary, AB (formerly of Gander) aged 60 years. Predeceased by her parents Jean and Gerald Smith, and brother Gerry. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, son: Thomas; sisters: Gillian Hatcher (Gary), and Layle Kaarsgard; brother: Andrew (Mary); sister-in-law: Stephanie Smith; nieces: Suzanne Howse (Chris), Heather Smith-Pollard (Pernell), and Angela Kaarsgard; nephews: Jason Hatcher (Stacey), and Stephen Hatcher; as well as other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from 7-9pm. Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Sunday, August 5th, 2012 Eugene Hicks, age 78. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Patience ( nee Quinlan), brother Bert, sister Belle Mac Donald. Left to mourn with loving memories are his loving wife of 61 years Maisie (nee Collins), son Derek (Renee) of Carmanville, daughter Trudy (Carson) Wheaton of Frederickton, grandchildren Shannon, Sheryl, Kristin, Gerard, great grandchildren Jessica, and Jacob. A large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Stacey's Funeral Home, Carmanville. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 8th from the Emanuel United Church. HANN, Sadie
Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Thursday, August 9, 2012 Sadie Myrtle Hann age 92 years of Wesleyville. Predeceased by her parents Ellen and Jonas Humphries; husband Andrew Hann; sons Calvin, Clyde, John and Boyde; daughter-in-law Rosalie Hann; brothers Cyril Humphries, Albert Noseworthy (Lucy), Elias Noseworthy (Florence) and Joseph Noseworthy. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Wesley Hann of Pound Cove, John Hann (Zelda) of Wesleyville and Clyde Hann (Sheila) of Iqaluit; daughter Ruby Dyke (Cyril) of Wesleyville; brother Nathan Humphries (Melina) of Badger's Quay; sister-in-law Doris Humphries of Wesleyville; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. BUTTON, Mary
Passed peacefully away on August 11th. 2012 at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, just one month short of her 100th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Peter, son Jacob, and grandson Wayne. Left with fond and loving memories is her son, Jesse (Myrtle); two daughters, Trixie (Percy Hunt) and Lillian (Nathan Dyke); daughter-in-law Shirley; eleven grandchildren, Roger (Caroline), Diane, Gail (Dave), Rita (Bruce), Harry (Daphne), Vicki, Ralph (Sandra), Linda (Fred), Ralph (Jennifer), Tracy (Neal); fifteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; as well as special friends, Violet Hodder and Theresa Casey. POND, Walter John (Jack)
Walter John (Jack) Pond
, aged 71 years, of Paradise (formerly of Centreville) passed peacefully away on August 14, 2012 at Hoyles Home, St. John's surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents: James and Jane Pond; son: Micheal; sisters: Ada, Barbara and Alma. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Vera; son: Morgan (Miranda); grandchildren: Noah and Isabella; brothers: Hector (Josephine) of Gambo, Earl (Florence) of St. John's, Wayne (Janet) of Clarenville; sisters: Nita of Gambo, Marie (Patrick) of Centreville, Mary (Arthur) of Centreville; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service took place on August 17, 2012 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. David Coffin officiating. He completed High School at Wareham, enrolled at Memorial University, St. John's and graduated with a B.A. Degree and a B.A. (Ed.) Degree. His 30-year teaching career included time in several communities including Isle Aux Morts, Wareham, Green Island Cove, Gambo, Badger's Quay, Lumsden, and Trinity (Bonavista Bay). He was an active member of the Indian Bay Lions Club for over 40 years and served as District Governor, District 41-S2 in 1995-96.

TURNER, Christine
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center, Gander on August 16th 2012 Christine (Teen) Turner age 78 years. Teen or Tina as she was later known as, lived for her famly and friends. Steadfast and independent she accepted life as it was, responding to both the good iand the bad with equanimity. She especially loved her grand and great grandkids; each held a special place in her heart. We will all sorely miss her.

MANUEL, Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away on August 18, 2012, Elizabeth Elphena Manuel born October 8, 1928, at Braggs Island, NL to the late Benjamin and Providence Feltham. On December 29, 1953, she married Jack S. Manuel of Norris Arm. Together they shared 45 years of marriage and raised two children. Predeceased by husband Jack, son Vincent and loving grandson Mitchell McDonald. Brothers Jonathan Feltham - Scotland (Newfoundland Forestry Unit) and Leslie Feltham, Scarborough, Ontario. Left to Mourn Daughter Debbie, son in law Cyril and granddaughter Sarah McDonald. Her beloved Yorkshire terrier Izzy. Sisters Ivy Levoy at Pembroke, ON, Ann Perry at Coburg, ON and brother Guy Feltham at Scarborough, ON. Many cousins in Glovertown and Gambo and a large number of relatives and friends in Norris Arm and Glovertown. Also cousins Diane, Irene and Ronald Feltham in Scotland. The service of Celebration for the life of Elizabeth(Lizzie) Elphena Feltham was held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Norris Arm. Officiating Major Marie Hollett. The church was filled by family and friends to say Goodbye to Lizzie.

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on August 21, 2012, Roy Smith Sainsbury age 77 years of Newtown, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by his parents; John and Gertrude Sainsbury, son; Glenn, brother; George, sisters; Verna, Hilda, 3 infant brothers and 1 infant sister, brothers-in-law; Arthur Murphy and Baxter Hall. Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Center on August 24th 2012 Edith Blanche Brown age 78. Blanche was born February 7th 1934 in Round Harbour. She married Lindberg Brown July 20th 1957 in Winnipeg and lived for 40 years in Canada's North. Predeceased by her parents Gideon and Irene Rogers, son Randy, brothers Bela, and Maxwell, sister Marjorie. - 90 years,formerly of Pound Cove passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay. Predeceased by her husband; Benjamin, parents; Thomas and Annie Bungay, 2 sisters; Aleshe Bungay and Jeanette Bungay, 2 brothers; Kenneth and Abi and 2 brothers-in-law; Cecil Sainsbury and Walter Winter. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 3 sons; Tom (Sheila Condon), Wayne (Sharron) and Benjamin (Lorraine), 4 daughters; Madeline Cassell (Alex Young), Vera Strange (Sid Fry), Mabel Burry (Edgar) and Geraldine Vincent (Chester), 3 sisters; Alice Sainsbury, Ida Winter and Emma Hounsell (Aaron), 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren as well as a wide circle of family and friends. CUFF, Norma Yvonne
In memory of Norma Yvonne Cuff (R.N - P.H.N.)

The family of the late Mrs. Cuff (Nurse Cuff of Musgrave Hr.) would like to notify all the friends, relatives & professional associates of her recent death on the morning of Aug. 27, 2012 at the age of 81 years in Rotherham, England. Left to mourn her son Terry Cuff and grandchildren Dean, Allan, Mark, Randy, Karen & 2 great grandchildren Nathan & Edon who she loved dearly. Two step-daughters Olga Hicks & Juanita Mouland and their families. Her three sisters Glenda, Margaret, & Patricia and their families who reside in England. Extended family, friends and a great many acquaintances will be saddened by the loss of her presence but she was too well loved to be forgotten.
