It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one surrounded by her family at The Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, April 9, 2017, Marie Burry age 62 years of Valleyfield. Predeceased by her parents; Job and Stella Welcher, brothers; Earl and Wilson and sister; Christine Sturge. Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories are, her husband; David, sons; Bradley (Kim) of Flatrock, Trevor (Kristi) of Paradise, daughter; Nadine (Anthony) of St. John's, brothers; Robert (Hazel) of Valleyfield, Earl (Judy) of Valleyfield, Elvis (Jeanette) of Brookfield, Stanley (Barb) of Valleyfield, Joey (Grace) of Gander, sister; Diane Spurrell (Darren) of Badger's Quay, grandchildren; Emily, Addison, Jasper, Joel, Xavier, Mallory and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Predeceased by her parents; Robert and Lillian Hannam, first husband; Jack Burry, second husband; Herbert Burry and brother; Rayfield Hannam. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Arthur (Mary), Garfield (Josie), Samuel, Raymond (Glenda), Maxwell (Ann) all of Greenspond and Frederick (Margaret) of Grand Falls, daughter; Marion (Harold Fossheim) of Edmonton, Alberta, grandchildren; Darlene, Brad F., Brad B., Arthur Jr., Kent, Jenny-Ann, Derrick, Vanessa, Ashley and Rhonda, great grandchildren; Christopher, Jamie, Terry, Nikita, Phillip, Alexis, Ava, Jenna, Nathan, Sarah, Katie and Ryder, sister-in-law; Violet Knee, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other family and friends. BURRY, Woodrow Lindsay
November 24, 1946 - April 8, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Woodrow L. Burry announce his passing at the James Paton Memorial Heath Care Centre on Saturday April 8, 2017 at the age of 70 years. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert & Annie Burry (nee Parsons) and sister-in-law Barbara Burry. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers and sisters: Roland, Gerald (Sylvia), Elizabeth (Leslie), Ford (Una), Marie (Eli), Wilfred (Marilyn), Lorne (Julie), David, Linda (Boyde) and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In keeping with Woodrow's wishes cremation has taken place and services will take place at a later date to be announced. COOZE, Emma Gwendolyn Lucretia
Sept 20, 1928 - April 29, 2017

The family of the late Emma Cooze is saddened to announce her passing at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Health Centre on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in her 88th year. Emma is predeceased by her husband of 66 years Stanley Cooze; parents George & Josephine (nee Hounsell) Howell; sisters Olive Winter, Marjorie Winter; Eleanor Hunt and grandson Vincent Cooze. With Many cherished and loving memories Emma leaves to mourn; sons, Bill (Audrey) Cooze of Twillingate, NL, Emerson (Pauline) of Badger's Quay, NL, Dennis (Audrey) of Brookfield, NL, Rick (Wendy) of Scarborough, ON, Shawn (Glenda) of Bowmanville, ON; daughters, Jane (Ken) Ogaki of Westhill, ON, Brenda (Pete deceased)James of Scarborough, ON; brothers Fredrick (Maggie) Howell, Charles Howell, Horwood (Laura) Howell; sisters Lillian Norris, Leah Jefferies and 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Emma was well loved and will be forever remembered by a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held at Sincerely Yours Funeral Home on May 1 & 2, 2017. March 7, 1956 - April 14, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Holly Johnson announce her sudden passing on Friday April 14, 2017 at the age of 61 years. She was predeceased by son Bernard Jack Johnson; parents Graham & June King. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Jim; sons: Allan(Kayla), Philip(Bobbi); sister Fern(Robert); brothers: Gary(Jacquie), Glen(Sharon), also a large circle of family and friends. With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Jimmy Penney announce his passing on April 16th 2017 after a lengthy illness at the age of 50. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Reid announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Care Centre on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at the age of 57 years. She was predeceased by her mother Daisy Locke, father-in-law Angus Reid; sister-in-law Judy Locke. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 27 years Barry Reid; father George Locke (Lucy) of Corner Brook, NL, mother-in-law Gladys of Grand Falls, NL; brothers Terry of Cambridge, ON, Brian of Brampton, ON, Keith (Pauline) of Corner Brook, NL; in laws: John Reid, Lynn Sooley (Randy), Andrew Reid (Tania); nieces and nephews: Samantha, Val, Donna, Casandra, Stephanie, Christopher, Nichola, Reid; special friends Wayne & Debbie Vardy of Paradise, NL, all the ladies of the Dragon Boat Boaters and Pink Ladies, Gander and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Brenda fought a courageous battle with cancer, even while fighting her disease, Brenda always had a smile that could light up a room and she was like a ray of sunshine wherever she went. Sister, Blanche Brown, and brothers Caleb, Cecil, Walter and Harold. Sister-in-law, Rebecca Wells and brother-in-law Harvey Brown. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife of 62 years, Delilah. Daughters: Marilyn (Noel), Marina (Clement), Angela (Randy), and Hazel (Andy). WINSOR, Hilda Jean
January 10, 1934 - April 4, 2017
Hilda Jean Winsor
, aged 83, deceased Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Lakeside Homes, Gander. Born January 10, 1934, Pike's Arm, Newfoundland, Jean was the loving daughter of the late David and Eva [Cutler] Stuckey. She is predeceased by her husband Malcolm Clarence Winsor, sister Barbara [Stuckey] Oates, brother Baxter and adopted brother Stewart. Jean leaves to mourn her three sons Tony (Rosemary), Paul and Randy (Cathy), as well as an extended circle of relatives and friends including her cherished granddaughter and grandson Anna and Liam and niece Tammy. Jean was an early resident of Gander and told many stories of fun times on the old town site. She relished social activities with her friends, be it an afternoon tea, a card game or bingo, as long as there were laughs and stories to tell. She excelled at being a homemaker and took great pride in her house on Elizabeth Drive. (Her red dahlias in the front garden were not to be missed!) Jean loved being outdoors and enjoyed time spent fishing, berry picking or cutting wood with her husband. She found great joy in music and singing and was a longtime member of the Fraser Road United Church. The funeral service was held at Fraser Road United Church on Saturday April 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Kathy Brett officiating, Interment to take place at a later date.
