BURRY, Neta
Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Saturday, April 12, 2014 Neta Maria Burry age 85 years of Greenspond. Predeceased by her parents Abner and Hilda Blackwood; husband Philip; brothers Peter, Ross, Joseph, Eric and Eleazor; sister Stella Roberts; brothers-in-law Clarence Janes and Ronald Roberts; sisters-in-law Edwina Blackwood and Gertrude Blackwood. Left with fond and loving memories are her son Herbert Burry of Greenspond; brother Robert Blackwood (Eleanor) of Sydney Mines, NS.; sisters Maude Janes of St. John's and Sadie Barefoot (Carl) of Manuels; sisters-in-law Alma Stratton of St. John's, Cherry Blackwood of St. John's and Evelyn Blackwood of St. John's; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at The United Church, Greenspond on Monday, April 14, 2014 with Rev. Brian Hannon officiating. Interment followed at The Interfaith Cemetery, Greenspond. BURTON, Hope
Passed peacefully away at her residence, Gander, NL, on April 18th, 2014, Hope Burton, age 68 years. Predeceased by parents Chesley and Mabel Boone, brother Elden Boone, sister Marion Thompson, and father and mother in laws Pearce and Edna Burton. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Herb Burton, sons Paul (Jennifer) of St. John's, NL, Dale of Gander, NL, Richard (Lisa) of St. John's, NL, Tim (Caroline) of Gander, 5 precious grandchildren Shannon, Jaxson, Jaylee, Nathen, and Maggie Burton, sisters Alma (Newton) Norman of Baie Verte, NL, and Judy (Leo) Kelly of Gander, NL. Hope also leaves behind a large family of brother in laws, sister in laws, nephews, nieces, friends, and co-workers. Rested at The Pentecostal Church, Gander. Funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Donations in Hopes' memory may be made to The Gideons. BUTLER, Robert C.
June 03, 1941-April 4, 2014

Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes in Gander on April 4th 2014 Robert C. Butler age 72 years. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Margaret Butler and sister Jeanette. Left with wonderful memories are his devoted wife Bernice, sons Robert (Rhonda) of Paradise, NL and Jeffery Carla of Lantz, NS.. Six beautiful grandchildren Brian, Cheryl, Brandon, Nicholas, Joshua and MacKenzie, brother Wayne (Cordella) of St. John's, NL., and a circle of family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home. A private family service was held Monday April 7th with interment at All Saints Cemetery. Donation in Bob's memory to Parkinson Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. FELTHAM, Linda Marie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Linda Marie Feltham age 57 years of Trinity. Linda passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Eli Jabez and Susannah Preston; sister Lillian Brown. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Roger; son Kevin (Jaynee Burton); daughters Lisa (Lucas Lawson) and Jolene; grandsons Alexander, Bradley, Marcus, Lucas, Aiden and Noal; brothers Chesley Preston (Beverley), Clayton Preston (Maggie) and Carson Preston (Eileen); sisters Florence Tulk (Clarence), Mildred Wells (William) and Helen Lane (Darren Bennett); brother-in-law Percy Brown; several nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service took place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity on Friday, April 4, 2014 with Rev. David Coffin officiating. Interment followed at The Anglican Cemetery, Trinity. GOVER, Israel Gibbons
After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Israel Gibbons Gover 76 years of Centreville on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Brookfield Hospital, Brookfield. He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Martha Gover; wife Barbara; sons Gary and Gary Eugene; sisters Mary Brown and Stella Durling; brothers Andrew, Hubert, Gordon and Clarence; brother-in-law Boyce Pickett. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are son Randy (Darlene); grandsons Ricky and Cody; granddaughters Jodi and Renee; step-grandchildren Ashley and Joshua; great-grandchildren Chase and Jaxxon; half brother Claude Brown (Mildred); four sisters Nita Wiseman (Richard), Olive Beaton (Ford), Beatrice Gover (Gaby Simard) and Annie Pickett; brother-in-law Manuel Brown; sister-in-law Miriam Gover; as well as several nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. HODDER, Howard
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on April 22nd 2014 Howard Hodder age 74 years. Predeceased by parents Arch and Clara Hodder, sister Ruby Perry. Left with loving memories are his wife Leah, sons Michael (Heather) and Gerry. He will be especially missed by grandchildren Ashleigh, Owen and Isaac. Also a large circle of family and friends. IRELAND, Wavey
After a brief illness at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, on Monday April 28, 2014 our beloved Wavey passed away at the age of 77. She is survived and dearly missed by her husband Bill, loving Mother of Warren (Laura) and Wendy. She is Grandma to two beautiful grandchildren Brody and Bailey. Dear sister of Lillian Pride of Cobb's Arm Newfoundland. Also loved by her nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in the New World Island United Church Saturday June 21st, 2014 at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the Church hall. In lieu of flowers the family requests those wishing to make a donation to the Montfort Hospital Foundation 713 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1K 0T2, The New World Island United Church or a charity of your choice. Love and heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the emergency and intensive care units at the hospital. They provided tremendous loving care to Wavey and the whole family during a very trying time.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Mrs. Ethel Stokes, aged 85 yrs of Deadman's Bay. Mrs. Stokes passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Peter, parents Nehemiah and Jessie Chaulk, brothers Cyril, Carl, Carman and Freeman, sister Sybil, grandchildren Roger, Melissa, Cory, great-grandchildren Pacey and Warrick Jr, sons-in-law Warrick, Rayburn and Leslie. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three sons Ross (Mary) of Deadman's Bay, Donald (Denise) of Deadman's Bay, Terry (Deanne) of Grande Cache, AB, 7 daughters Mildred (Newman) of Goose Bay, Iona of Musgrave Harbour, AMrilyn of Moncton, Neta (Robert) of Ragged Harbour, Fern (Melvin) of Deadman's Bay, Sarah (Sandy) of Ragged Harbour, Ada (Terry) of St. John's, brother Jack (Jenneth) of Lumsden, four sisters Jane (Maxwell) of Deadman's Bay, Beulah (Beaton) of Musgrave Harbour, Roby (Elmore) of Deadman's Bay, and Yvonne (Edgar) of Musgrave Harbour, 26 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. STOYLES, Trixie
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Thursday, April 24th, 2014, Trixie Stoyles, age 88 of Gander. Predeceased by her parents James and Hughina Calder of Scotland, five siblings, and son Max. Left to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Lester, daughters Glennis, Wendy Ross (Wayne), son Scott, dear grandsons, Cameron and Keegan, sisters-in-law Leonie Hollett, Marguerite Reynolds, Ruth Foshee (Charles), brother-in-law Ray Stoyles (Lillian), several nieces and nephews and special life long friend Betty LeFresne. A special thank you to Dr. Casey, Dr. Cora, Dr. Greenland, and all the other doctors, nurses and paramedics at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, who took such good care of her during her illness. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Sunday and Monday. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th at 2:00 P.M. from Fraser Road United Church, Gander. Cremation has taken place.
