HOLLOWAY, Gerald -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on April 2, 2007, Gerald Holloway, aged 65 years. Predeceased by his father, Thomas, Sr. and mother, Trixie. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Olive; son, Dwight; daughters, Penny (Wendell Dawe) of St. John's, NL, Leona (Allan Laite) of Toronto, ON and Nicki of Gander, NL; grandchildren, Codi, Tanner, Shelby and Charli Jean; brothers, Ross of Calgary, AB, Lindsey (Madonna) of Stephenville, NL and Thomas, Jr. of Toronto, ON; sister, Doreen (Ron) of Glovertown, NL; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on April 5th at the Salvation Army Citadel, Gander, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. BURRY, William Junior -
Surrounded by his loving family, William passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Gander on Friday, April 6, 2007, aged 61 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Our precious father, grandfather, brother and husband is predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret Burry; stepmother, Leona Burry and brother, Paul Burry. Left to mourn his loving wife, Margaret; son, Michael (Melissa); daughter, Joanne (Troy); grandchildren, Benjamin and Allison; twin brother, Eric (Glenda); brothers, Bruce (Sharon) and Robin (Valerie); sisters, Daphne (Bill) Audrey (Tony) and Joan (Michael); sister-in-law, Margaret (Barry); father-in-law, Samuel Rogers (Tryphena) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on April 9, 2007 at Knox United Church, Hare Bay. Donations in William's memory may be made to the James Paton Memorial Hospital Cancer Clinic, Gander.

KEAN, Alma -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on April 7, 2007, Alma Kean of Badger's Quay, age 69 years. Predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Mary Winter; brothers, Leslie, David; sisters, Leah, Merida; brothers-in-law, Henry Knee, Martin, John; sister-in-law, Olive Winter. Left to mourn with beautiful and loving memories are her husband, Martin; five sons, Charles (Roma), Rick (Irene), Tony (Gwen), Leslie (Kelly), Kevin (Stephanie); brothers, Edward, Roland (Betty), Herbert (Minnie), Greg (Violet), George (Susie), Bruce (Margaret); sisters, Lillian, Lottie Knee (Jack); sister-in-law, Beulah Tiller (Joseph); brother-in-law, Howard Roebotham (Nina); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on April 10th at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay with Rev. Robin Trevors officiating. Interment followed at St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Badger's Quay. MALONEY, Charlee Valerie -
Passed peacefully away on April 7, 2007 at the Janeway Children's Hospital, Charlee Valerie Maloney, daughter of Charles and Valerie (Dwyer). Predeceased by brother, John Carlos, March 29, 2003. Left to mourn a large circle of family and friends. Donations may be made in her memory to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Janeway Hospital.

STOKES, Charles --
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on April 8, 2007, Walter Charles Stokes of Cape Freels, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents, Cater and Bertha Stokes, sisters, Lena Pickett, Eliza Rideout; brothers-in-law, Everett West, Lloyd Stokes, Richard Pickett, Chesley Rideout. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Reta; son, Carl (Bernice) of Cape Freels; two daughters, Emily Stagg (Ben) of Cape Freels, Faye Goodyear (Kirk) of Cape Freels; sisters, Myrtis West of Lumsden, Flossie Stokes of Cape Freels; six grandchildren, Lisa, Paul, Jamie, Justin, Ashley, Lucas; several nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on April 10th at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove with Pastor Chris Starkey officiating, assisted by Rev. Boyce Parsons. Interment followed at the United Cemetery, Cape Freels. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. GREENE, Elizabeth -
Passed peacefully away on April 15, 2007 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Elizabeth Greene at the age of 74. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1987, three sisters and six brothers. Left with loving memories are her sons, Lorne of Gambo, Kevin (Sheila) of Gambo; daughters, Carol Ann of Gambo, Lorna (Glen Peddle) of Gambo, Sheila (Olive Rogers) of Gambo, Nancy Briffett of Grand Falls-Windsor; grandchildren, Bernadine Rogers, April Pritchett (Eric), Barry Rogers, Ronald Greene (Jill), Tanya Greene (Mark), Joey and Jeffery Peddle; one great-granddaughter, Victoria Stockley. Funeral mass was held on April 20th at the Roman Catholic Church, Gambo. Interment at Roman Catholic Cemetery, Gambo. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Passed away suddenly in Collingwood, ON on April 15, 2007, Paul Pearce at the age of 36. Predeceased by his father, Henry Pearce and nephew, Gregory Dwyer. Left with loving memories his mother, Rita; Dominic of AB, Brian (Pauline) of Boyd's Cove, Clarence (Mary Lou) of AB, David (Shelley) of NS, John (Melinda) of AB, Kevin (Angela) of NB, Dennis (Debbie) of AB; sisters, Helen (Paul) of Gander, Kit (Greg) of Gander, Geraldine (Bernard) of AB, Kathleen (Ron) of Montreal, Liz (Danny) of ON, Joan (Glenn) of Gander; special nephew and brother, Philip; also a large circle of other family, nieces, nephews, and friends in Newfoundland and Ontario. Passed peacefully on April 19, 2007 at Lakeside homes, Gander, Eleanor Mary Myrick in her 96th year. Predeceased by husband, Robert in 2000 and her son, Edward in 2001. Left with loving memories are her daughter, Rosemary (Robert Fowler) of St. John's; sister, Mary (Toby McDonald) of St. John's; sisters-in-law, Mary Healy and Jean Pearcey of Gander; six loving grandchildren, Robin, Richard, Erika and Jonathan Fowler and Stephanie and Stacey Myrick; also a large circle of other family and friends. TURNER, Shirly "Shird" Conrad -
Passed suddenly away in Edmonton, Alberta on April 19, 2007, age 80. He was predeceased by his son, Perry and parents, Harold and Elizabeth Ann. Left to mourn is his two sons, Pat (Joy) of Edmonton, Alberta, Doug of Edmonton, Alberta, Doug of Thomasburg, Ontario; three daughters, Glenys (Larry) of St. John's, Val (Ron) of Gander and Pam of Calgary, Alberta. Also nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and four sisters, Doris Moss (Bill) of Gander, Winnie Hiscock of Gander, Pearl Duder of Oakville, Ontario and June Gettel (Ross) of Lewisporte. A memorial service took place on May 3rd at the Holy Cross Anglican Church in Eastport.

OSMOND, Cecil Baker -
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, April 23, 2007, Cecil Baker Osmond, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his parents, Hettie and Benjamin; sisters, Mary, Frances, Helen and Doris; and brother, Vincent, all of Gambo. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Irene; sisters, Elva Pritchett of Gambo and Phyllis Pritchett of Gambo, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Passed peacefully away on April 24, 2007 at Lakeside Homes, Gander, Mary Theresa O'Rielly, aged 86 years. Predeceased by her husband, Leo; brothers, Michael and John; sisters, Agnes, Isabel and Bridget. STURGE, Christopher -
Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on April 25, 2007, Christopher Sturge of Wesleyville, age 90 years. Predeceased by his wife, Annie; a large number of brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Susan Ann Sturge. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are one son, Cecil (Susie) of Lower Sackville, NS; three daughters, Mona Bungay (Ronald) of St. John's, Sophie Stokes (Joe) of Wesleyville, Juanita Bragg (Michael) of Shea Heights, St. John's; one sister, Neta Andrews of Wesleyville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on April 28th at the Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley with Capts. Paul and Kelly Rideout officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Wesleyville. MILLEY, Kathleen Lillian, age 50 -
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on April 27, 2007 in the presence of her loving husband. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Adeline (Smith) Parrott; brother, Robert John Parrott; sister, Daisy Sheppard, sisters-in-law, Paul (Stamp) Parrott and Mary (Brown) Parrott. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Mac; daughter, Mary; son, Shawn; father, Samuel; brothers, Calvin (Jean) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Melvin (Ann) of Glenwood, Wilf (Gertie) of Gander, David (Theresa) of Churchill Falls, Steven of Gander, Gary (Lisa) of Gander, Gerald (Oleen) of Trail, BC, Walter (Sylvia) of Hanover, ON, Albert (Kim) of Gander, William (Tammy) of Greenwood, NS and Wayne of Gander; sisters, Linda (Neil Parsons) of Gander, Barbara (George Crewe) of Gander, Annie Parrott of Grand Falls-Windsor and Heather (Don Burchill) of Gander; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Margaret Milley; sister-in-law, Donna (Bruce Mactavish) of St. John's; also a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. PAUL, Keri -
Passed peacefully away on April 30, 2007, Keri Garland Paul, age 85 of Gambo. Gone to be with his family who predeceased him and to watch over those he left behind. A man with a sense of humour until the end, leaves many cherished memories to be remembered by his wife and best friend of 59 years, Alice; daughter, Alice (Larry Whelan); grandson, Chad; two sisters, Mabel Skanes and Olive Northcott (Gus); nieces and nephews; as well as a large number of extended family and friends. Funeral service from Emmanuel United Church , Gambo on May 3rd. Rested at Pritchett's Funeral Home. Because of his love of children, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation in his memory.
