MALONEY, Frank
Passed peacefully away on April 6, 2005 at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, Frank Maloney, age 59 years. Predeceased by his parents, Elias and Frances Maloney, brothers, Dominic and James, brother-in-law, Mike Tonner and nephew, Brad Maloney. Left with loving memories are his sisters, Mary Hollohan of Summerville, NL, Dora (Alex) Kelly of Gander, Florence (John) MacMichael of Dartmouth, NS, Patricia Tonner of Ottawa, ON, Gertrude (Gerald) Nicholl of Mount Uniacke, NS, Bernadette (Bob) Ralph of Gander, Madonna (Ben) Maloney of Labrador City, NL; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral mass was held on April 9th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gander. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association. JENKINS, Joyce
Passed peacefully away on April 6, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Joyce Jenkins, age 82 years, five months. Predeceased by parents, George and Priscilla Morris; brother, Arthur; sister, Stella; husbands, William Munro and Albert Jenkins. Left with loving memories are her daughter, Georgina (James) Lentz of Chula Vista, California; one son, Alexander (Maxine) Munro, with whom she resided in Glenwood; grandchildren, Christine (Donnie) of Harris Point, Paulette (Bill) of Orangeville, Steven (Megan) of California, Jolene of Scarborough, Douglas of California; one very special great-grandson, Jayden; one sister, Sybil Blackmore of Mount Pearl; one niece, Stella (Charlie) Wheaton; two children, Kelly and Jason; step-children, Jean Mitchell of Steady Brook, Alister Munro of Edmonton, Vernon Munro of North Bay, Bill (Darlene) Munro of Kitchener, Betty (Jim) Davidson of New Brunswick, Judy (Leo) Tulk of Traytown, Carol (Marvin) McNutt of Paradise, Ruth (Bruce) Millier of Ottawa and Albert Jenkins, Jr. of Ottawa; large number of step-grandchildren; and a large circle of friends. Cremation took place on April 7th, 2005 at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Interment at a later date.

GOODYEAR, Harriett
Passed away at Grand Falls-Windsor on April 12, 2005, Mrs. Harriett Goodyear of Carmanville in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband, Harold Goodyear in 1985. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons, Lewis (Evelyn) and Alex (Joan), both of Carmanville; three daughters, Sylvia (Melvin Ploughman) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Elia (Claude Cochrane) of Nova Scotia and Margaret (Brian Fancey) of Drayton Valley, Alberta; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on April 15th at the Pentecostal Church in Carmanville. Interment at Pentecostal Cemetery in Carmanville. Donations in her memory may be made to the Pentecostal Church in Carmanville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander-Carmanville.

BISHOP, Julia Margaret
Passed peacefully away on April 17, 2005 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Julia Margaret Bishop of Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, aged 54 years. Predeceased by her parents, Eldon and Annie Pickett; brothers, James, Percie, Ephriam; sisters, Clara Jane, Ariania Bernice; brothers-in-law, Roland Brown and Edrick Pickett. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Maurice C. Bishop; three sons, John (friend, Eileen) of Thompson, Manitoba, Glen (Lisa) of Thompson, Manitoba, David (Amy) of Yorkton, Sask; three brothers, Matthais (Eliza Jane) of Centreville, Lindsay (Linda) of Lewisporte, David (Eileen) of Centreville; three sisters, Violet Brown, Kathleen Pickett, Audrey (Frank Bourne), all of Centreville; four grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on April 23rd at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Sam Rose officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Centreville. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Centreville. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound/Musgrave Harbour.

JANES, Vaughan G.
Passed peacefully away on April 20, 2005 at Brookfield Hospital, Vaughan G. Janes of Wesleyville, age 44 years. Predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Janes; sister, Francis Trask. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Vida; son, Jeff of Dawson Creek, BC; daughter, Karen (Paul) Winter of Badger's Quay; one granddaughter, Abigail Winter; father, Charlie Janes; six brothers, Ernest (Mary), Charlie (Daphne), Aubrey (Jane), all of Badger's Quay, Terry (Annette) of Glovertown, Tom (Marie), Fred (Sylvia), all of Badger's Quay; three sisters, Jean Parson (Tom) of Badger's Quay, Olive Whidden (Junior) of Ladle Cove, Ellie Fifield (Gerald) of Corner Brook; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on April 23rd at the Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley with Capt. Paul Rideout officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Wesleyville. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.

CRITCHLEY, Lucy Levine
Passed peacefully away at her home in Gambo on April 23, 2005 at the age of 74 years. Predeceased by her first husband, Randolph Feltham, parents, Charles and Susie Oram and her brother, John Oram. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, James Critchley; daughters, Wanda (Adam) Duffney of Ottawa, Ontario and Patsy (Steve) O'Brien of Brampton, Ontario; sons, Charles (Susan) Feltham of Gambo, Cyril (Mae) Feltham of Hare Bay, Eric (Theresa) Critchley of Gambo, Harvey (Myrtle) of Gambo, Herbert (Maisie) Critchley of Gambo and Hayward (Louise) Critchley of Thunder Bay, Ontario; sisters, Emma (Sam) Bennett of Gambo, Elsie (Arthur) Reid of Topsail, Lucy (Clarence) Lane of Gander, Mary (Raymond) Wade of Gambo; one brother, Essau (Barbara) Oram of Hare Bay; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on April 26th at The Salvation Army Citadel, Gambo. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the care of Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo.

COLLINS, Willis J.
Passed peacefully away on April 24, 2005 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Willis J. Collins, aged 84 years. Predeceased by parents, Naomi and Robert S. Collins, sister, Alice Way and brother, Pearse Collins. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Maude Collins; daughter, Gail; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral service was held on April 26 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Dover, followed by interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery. TULK, Bert
Passed peacefully away on April 25, 2005 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, Bert Tulk of Aspen Cove, age 89. Predeceased by his wife, Olive; brothers, Wilson, Baxter and Hiram. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons, Newman (Jewel) and David (Rhonda), all of Aspen Cove; daughters, Verna Peddle (Carson), Phyllis Hancock (Ellis), all of Aspen Cove and Daphne Stratton (Gerald) of Ladle Cove, sisters, Gertie Tulk (Lloyd) and Alfred Chaulk, all of Aspen Cove; sisters-in-law, Blanche Tulk of Aspen Cove and Myrtis Tulk of Lumsden; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Luke; aunts, Alma Wellon and Fanny Dowden; and a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral service was held at April 27th at Bethel United Church, Aspen Cove with Rev. S. Parsons officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Aspen Cove. GOODYEAR, Isaac Uriah
Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on April 28, 2005, Isaac Uriah Goodyear of Deadman's Bay, age 77 years. Predeceased by his parents, Mark and Maude Goodyear, and brothers, Maxwell and Edgar. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his brothers, John (Deliah) Goodyear and Nathan (Minnie) Goodyear; sister-in-law, Wihelmina Goodyear; several nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on May 1st at the United Church, Deadman's Bay with Capt. Paul Rideout officiating. Interment followed at Goodyear's Cemetery, Deadman's Bay. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour-Pound Cove.

DOWNER, Josephine
Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on April 30, 2005, Josephine Downer of Greenspond, age 86. Predeceased by parents, Edward and Matilda Feltham; husband, Daniel Downer; daughters, Shirley and Ruth; son, Charles and brother, John feltham. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Charles (Doreen) of Goulds and daughter, Daphne Burry (Edgar) of Greenspond; five grandchildren, Lisa, Rick, Charlene, Jason and Stephen; six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jenna, Terence, Daniel, Bradley and Cameron; and a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral took place on May 3rd at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Greenspond with Rev. V. Reid officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Greenspond. Donations in her memory may be made to Stephen's Anglican Church, Greenspond. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour-Pound Cove.
