    Researcher: Marilyn Lawrie - lawriemayno@aol.com
Description: I am seeking information about Thomas Oxford b. 1802 in Sturminster Marshall, Dorsetshire, England. He was apprenticed to a firm in Fogo, Nfld. at age 9 or 12. He returned to England for some time, then arrived on the ship "Perseverance" in 1820 at Fogo. The 1836 census shows Thomas Oxford with 7 people in his household in Herring Neck - a wife, 4 sons and a daughter. We are looking for information about who his wife was, when he married, when he died and where he is buried (I have gone through every cemetary listing on your site and cannot find him or most of the Oxfords). His children are: George b. 1827, Maria b. 1829, Samuel b. 1831, James b. 1834, Henry b. 1836, John b. 1840. My Mother (Myrtle Oxford) has been researching this family for over 3 decades and has not been able to find the information about Thomas, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Area of Research: Fogo - Herring Neck - Twillingate
