Description: Trying to find information on Henry Budgell, born 1845, married, lived and died in Little Brehat on the Northern Peninsula. I suspect he came from around Exploits, but I cannot find any records of him. I was hoping there might be something in a family Bible or something. The records show that Samuel (locally called Sammy) Budgell also lived there for a time. I spoke to a older person originally from L. Brehat and he thinks Sammy and Henry were brothers. According to Nathan Budgell in the Prologue to his book, A Newfoundland Son, his forebears, the Budgell's and the Langford's came from Fowey in Dorsetshire and from Great Yarmouth around 1774. It is not clear as to which family was from where. Has anyone traced the Budgell's to their place of origin in England?

I am trying to establish if this was the same Pricella BUFFETT that was the widow of Henry WILCOTT who drowned in 1860 at Great Jervis or were there two, since the marriage between Robert and Pricella clearly states BUFFETT rather than WILCOTT, would a widow not remarry under her married name rather than her maiden name? Also looking for info on her parents / siblings, etc., there is a William BEAUFORT / BEAUFIT 1830 (DPHW 30) listed in Seary's Surnames of the Island of Newfoundland living in Grand Jervis, could this be her father?
