Comments from Newfoundlanders Hospitalized during WW I
During the First World War my Aunt, Lillian Orsato,
who was then about 21 years old, visited one of the London Hospitals where
they had taken wounded soldiers from various battles. She took with her an autograph album which I now have as a treasured possession. There are entries written by Lance Corporal Leonard Sheppard, Private Dicks, Lance Corporal R.G. Chafe and Cpl E.F. Chafe. |
