The badge above was the one worn by members of the
Royal Newfoundland Regiment during and after the First World War The new badge above was adopted in 1953. In the new design the Caribou head was enclosed within a wreath of laurel and surmounted by a crown to denote the prefix "ROYAL" in the regimental designation. An underlying scroll carried the name " Royal Newfoundland Regiment ". |
