SALMON COVE (Bay de Verds.) A small fishing settlement on the north shore of Conception Bay in the district of Bay de Verds. This is only an open cove with a beach, having no protection from the weather. The land in rear of the head is lofty and bold and Salmon Cove Head is quite a prominent point of Conception Bay. Distant from Carbonear by road 5 miles. Mail weekly. Population 105. |
