*PETITES
A large settlement on the south coast of the island, district of Burgeo and La Poile. It is situated on a barren rock. The people are engaged in fishing. Distance from Rose Blanche 6 miles by boat. Mail fortnightly. Population 304

* The fishery is carried on here all through the winter
