CAPE BROYLE A large fishing settlement on the Strait shore south of St. John's, district of Ferryland. The population, besides their employment in the cod fishery, are engaged to some extent both in farming and in the salmon industry. In the cod fishery nets and seines are mostly used. Distant from St. John's by road 38 miles, from Ferryland by road 6 miles. Mail weekly. Population 465. |
