James Rowe Family Bible
from Heart's Content, Trinity Bay

This "old Bible/Book of Common Prayer" is currently in the possession of
the Anglican Cathedral Archives,
St. John's, Newfoundland.

This bible was discovered in the the 1950s in an alcove behind the chimney of the
old Rowe family home in Heart's Content. However, I am not sure if that was
the original home of James Rowe (1741-1806) and Ann Sheppard, whose
ten children are listed in the bible . The book was scorched and damaged
apparently by the heat of the chimney where it was stored.
James Rowe was my gr-gr-gr grandfather.

This transcription was recorded in 2004.

It contains entries from 1774 to 1801
