Pilley's Island, Twillingate District Caroline Smith Payne Caroline Smith Payne (James Payne's wife) Born Feb. 1844 and died Oct. 16, 1921 at the age of 77. I would venture a guess and say that she was about 60 - 65 when this photo was taken at Pilley's Island. Contributed by Doreen Rideout (December 2003)
