St. John's This is a photo of my Great Great Grandfather, Josiah Simmonds 1837-1911. Josiah was a successful painting contractor in St. Johns, NFLD who resided at '47 William' in St. Johns as per the McAlpine's 1898 & 1904 Directories. He had 3 children by his 1st wife, Elizabeth...... Mary Ann, Samuel & Hannah. I'm descended from Mary Ann. His 2nd marriage was to Martha Stuckless of Twillingate in 1896.
