Thomas Corbett
Thomas Corbett

Thomas Corbett born in Chapel's Cove 1886
and died in New York 1926 from a laceration
to the right hand, middle finger. He got
blood poisoning and died there leaving my
grandmother with 5 children. My Dad was
8yrs old. She was not a Newfoundlander.
She went back home to NJ to her family
and at age 32, just 1-1/2yrs later,
had a stroke and died. So my father never
knew this rich Newfoundland heritage.
He was raised in an orphanage in NJ.
He died 25yrs ago at age 57.
