Thomas Corbett Thomas Corbett born in Chapel's Cove 1886 and died in New York 1926 from a laceration to the right hand, middle finger. He got blood poisoning and died there leaving my grandmother with 5 children. My Dad was 8yrs old. She was not a Newfoundlander. She went back home to NJ to her family and at age 32, just 1-1/2yrs later, had a stroke and died. So my father never knew this rich Newfoundland heritage. He was raised in an orphanage in NJ. He died 25yrs ago at age 57. Contributed by Judy Barker
