Spaniard's Bay Pond
(now Shearstown)

Drawing of Jabez Mercer, son of Ananias and Joanna
(nee Dawe) Mercer. He was born Aug 14th, 1876
in Spaniard's Bay Pond, now Shearstown and died
Oct 17, 1901 in Lipa, Philippines. Though it is
mentioned of his passing on his parents
headstone in Shearstown, his body is
buried at the San Francisco National
Cemetery in San Francisco, California.

Jabez was an Engineer and Architect
in the US Inf. as a Private.
