Lot Coffin's Store

Lot Coffin's Store

The large square cement piece located in the foreground of Lot Coffin's Store
was his cellar, where the vegetables were stored. The cellar was in his garden
just behind his house, and of course just before his store where the nets
and fishing supplies were kept. Prior to refrigeration, Lot and his family
sometimes kept their meat in the store in the winter months as it was cold.
This "store" has been since donated to the Historical society & is been
moved from this location. Picture taken May 2002.
