Florizel 1918

Cappahayden
1918

The SS Florizel wrecked at Horn Point, Cappahayden, Newfoundland.
The ship ran on to the rocks, during a winter storm, about 250 yards
from shore, in the early morning hours of Febuary 24, 1918.
Of 138 passengers and crew, 94 were lost, 44 survived.

This is from an old album of my grandparents.
