James G. Butler

Bristol's Hope
1955

My father, James G. Butler, of Bristol's Hope (1928-1964).
He was being interviewed after the North Koreans entered
his medics tent & tried to kill his patients. He was forced
to kill one man & took three more captive. His
commanding officer wrote in his log book that
it was indeed an act of bravery for one man
and he was awarded a medal.
Photo taken 1955 in Korea.
