The day after the Tidal Wave in Port au Bras

The only houses that remain today are the Mitchell House #1, The house furthest to the
right (See Back of Photo page), now owned by the Bennetts. and #2 ( See back
of photo page), the house furthest left on the picture, still owned by the
Abbott family. It was built in 1905 and was built by my
Great-Great Grandfather, William Abbott, and
wife Charlotte (ST. CROIX) Abbott. This is
the house where I grew up.

Picture originally came from Clyde Cheesman, my grandmother's cousin.
