Elliston
c1960

Charlie B. Martin (my grandfather), one of the survivors
of the Great Newfoundland Sealing Disaster of 1914,
in which he lost all his toes and some of his fingers.
His story is immortalized on the monument to
this tragedy in Elliston, Bonavista Bay.
