North Island Church

North Island
before 1961

A photo of the United Church on North Island, Bonavista Bay.

This church was burned because of vandalism.
To quote from Dr. Arthus S. Butt's book "Telling It As It Was":

This house of God was destroyed in the summer of 1961 by fire which
started on the north end of the island and devastated the whole island,
including the cemetery, leaving only one building intact".
