Presentation Convent Cemetery

Overall view of the Presentation Convent Cemetery in St. John's, Newfoundland.  This cemetery originally
had the more traditional white marble headstones.  However, they were replaced a number
of years ago with these newer style red granite headstones.

The Convent was founded Sept. 21, 1833 by the following four sisters from Galway, Ireland.
Sister M. Bernard Kirwan
Sister M. Magdalen O'Shaughnessy
Sister M. Xavier Molony
Sister M. Xaverius Lynch
