Reverend Michael P. Morris Villa Nova Orphanage Reverend Michael P. Morris born at St. John's July 12th 1852. Guardian of the Orphanage of Villa Nova. Contacted Typhoid Fever, while nursing the orphan boys under his care. Died August 1st 1889. "Greater Love Hath No Man Than This, that a Man Lay Down His Life for His Friends" This monument is raised to his memory by the people of Newfoundland .
