An Old Abandoned Cemetery
Seldom
Fogo Island

The following records were taken on November 11, 2001 in an old abandoned cemetery in Seldom on Fogo Island. The cemetery is located across the road from the United Church.

 

EMMA EVELEGH beloved wife of WILLIAM EVELIEGH who died March 1914 aged 75 years.

 

MARK W. beloved husband of SUSANNA BOONE who died Nov 11, 1923 aged 32 years

 

EDWARD ROWE died 20 July 1875 aged 68 years

 

AZARIAH DAWE died Sept. 19, 1930 aged 72 years

 

JOHN F. DAWE beloved son of AZARIAH DAWE and CLEMENTINE DAWE died March 29 aged 21 years

 

CLEMENTINE DAWE beloved wife of AZARIAH died April 18, 1946 aged 78 years

 

SUSANNA HODNET HOLMES who died 18 May 1872 aged 65 years 11 months

 

TIMOTHY COLLINS who departed this life April 24, 1905 aged 83 years

 

[FREDERICK J. BOONE who died Jan 26, 1931 aged 36 years

 

HARRIET H. BOONE his beloved wife who died April 28, 1931 aged 28 years] these two are on the same headstone (one on each side)

 

KENNETH BOONE who died Feb 18, 1920 aged 20 years 4 months

 

J. LAUNCELOT N. HODDER died July 12, 1906 aged 17 months

 

EMMA NEWELL died Nov 27, 1936 aged 87 years
