SAFE HARBOUR

Methodist Cemetery #1

Bonavista Bay District

Inscription Additional Informaiton

Cemetery #1
I visited Safe Harbour in June 2000. It is now abandoned, except for a few cabins. This cemetery is located on the hill where the Church once stood. It is the older of the two UC Cemeteries.Parts of an old fence still remain, but because the cemetery was so overgrown (bushes waist-high) I may easily have missed some of the headstones. This transcription was done in memory of my father's sister, Emma ELKINS, who is buried here. There could be errors in these transcriptions and some headstones were very difficult to read, so please verify the information through other sources if possible. (Linda Elkins-Schmitt)
