The plots shown in the Section layouts are meant to represent the approximate locations where surviving grave markers are found within each Section. In the actual cemetery, there are no physical Section markings, and very few neatly aligned rows. Like most old rural cemeteries, the majority of surviving grave markers appear to be dispersed in a somewhat random fashion. This appearence is likely due to several factors; i.e. the absence of any planned layout in the past, the lack of initial markers, and the decay, deterioration, and eventual disappearence of many older grave markers.
