I did the following headstone transcriptions on a trip to White Bay in the summer of 2000. I wish to thank Bob PITTMAN, owner of the Danny Corcoran Lodge in Great Harbour Deep, for taking me there. We accessed the area by water, and there was no indication upon going ashore that a cemetery existed there. Without  local knowledge, it would only be discovered by chance! No buildings remain in Duggan’s Cove now. The cemetery is located in the woods behind the former settlement, and looks as if it was much bigger than the few headstones I managed to uncover. Grass and trees are growing wild in and around what is left there. This posting is done in memory of my great grandfather’s sister, Mary Jane PITTMAN,  daughter of John and Martha CRITCH, who is buried here.
