CALPIN Charles       Erected by Thomas & Charles Calpin to the memory of their beloved father, Charles, son of the late Thomas & Martha Calpin of Gillingham, Dorset, England, for many years a useful and respected resident. At Bay Roberts, he died in the performance of his duty as Chief Constable from the accidental discharge of his gun while destroying a dog which had severely bitten a young child. Aged 66 years.
