Middle Cove & Freshwater - one cod liver oil manufactory produced this season 2 tuns manufactured, and 3 tuns common oil; gross proceeds valued at £289 4s.; 400 lb. fresh butter sent into St. John's market during the summer. 3 Cod Liver oil manufactories at Torbay, & 3 at Pouch Cove; the former produced 13 1/2 tuns refined, and 5 tuns common oil, & the latter 28 tuns refined, and 7 tuns common oil; gross proceeds valued at £4026 Cy."
