NAME | DESCRIPTION OF ERROR | REPORTED BY |
1*1 | It appears that a 1 was entered in the running count for this Master, but the count was not carried to the bottom of the page. | Kevin Reddigan Dec. 11, 2012 |
Patt Macnamara *2 | I initially transcribed the forename of this individual as Bate, which is a shortened form of Bartholemew. However, the scribe also wrote Patt, the shortened form of Patrick, with a smaller second t - uncrossed. It has been difficult to distinguish which forename was actually correct in some instances, however I now believe this forename was actually Patt. This revision is based on the fact that there was an estate settlement notice posted in the Royal Gazette in June 1810 for a Patrick MacNamara, fisherman, late of Ferryland [District?]. | Kevin Reddigan Dec. 11, 2012 |
