John Badcock *1 | All other records associate the family surname Badcock (later Batcock/Battcock) exclusively with Brigus [South], however two sections of this manuscript show the family living at Capeland [Caplin] Bay in the autumn/winter of 1799 and onward into 1800. It appears they left there sometime in 1800 since John is listed as an employer and Master of the Voyage in the fishery at Brigus. | Kevin Reddigan Oct. 29, 2012 |
