For anyone who has had family involved in the summer/fall fishery "on the Labrador" I think you would find this book quite interesting! Based on the Moss Diary of 1832 (remarks at Battle Harbour from February 1832 until September 1832) and stories he had gathered over the years, Poole writes about life during this time period in the area of Battle Harbour, Labrador. Some subjects contained in the book include:
