ST LAWRENCE CLOTHING SALES BOOKS 1788-1789
&
CASH BOOK 1800-1801

ROBERT E. NEWMAN FILES,
DARTMOUTH U.K.

REEL A-45 AND A-46 OTTAWA ARCHIVES

ST LAWRENCE CLOTHING SALES BOOKS 1788-1789 & CASH BOOK 1800-1801

Note: I have gone through both those reels, primarily looking for a few selected family names.

However, in the photocopies and notes I made, other names show up that may be of interest to those who may be searching family roots.

A lot of the entries show the same person purchasing items at different times during the period covered.

It is too great a task for one person to copy every entry and try and decipher the handwriting. This would be an excellent historical project  for some group to take on before the writings are lost or become unreadable. It is also easier to decipher the handwriting directly from the microfilm reader rather than take it from the photocopy.

The following persons purchased items from Newman’s store at Lt. St. Lawrence. The items are listed but I only noted a few. Most items are the same and related to clothing and fishing needs.
