This correction is for item #'s 2869 and 2870 in the list for Corpus Christi Vital Statistics baptisms, Volume 57, Part3, 1883-1891.

The listing shows that Lawrence Sandys and Julia Flaherty had Alice and James on April 14, 1891.  The father's name should be Samuel Sandys.

Reasons for changing Lawrence to Samuel:
The marriage records of Corpus Christi Church show that Samuel Sandy married Julia Flaherty on April 7, 1890.
Julia died shortly after giving birth, and the twins died also.  She and the children are buried in the Corpus Christi Cemetery.  I have been to the cemetery and have seen the tombstone.
Julia was Samuel's first wife.  He later married Margaret Colford of Job's Cove and came to the United States, where he spent the rest of his life. Samuel and Margaret were my grandparents, and it was known to us that Samuel had been married before and that his wife and children had died in Job's Cove, Newfoundland.
