The Museum is open year round. An attempt is made to maximize researcher access to the RNC Archives, however some material may be restricted to maintain confidentially. Researchers are asked to write the office of the Chief of Police indicating their area of interest to arrange access. Photocopying is available upon request, dependent upon release of copyright. The RNC Archives and Museum contains early police records, over 4 dozen audio tapes of oral history interviews with constables, and 10,000 photographs, thereby providing an extensive visual and oral history of police activities in the province from 1871 to the present. A finding aid is available.
