PANL holds several collections, which include information for tracing the ownership of land. The history of a piece of property can give a researcher valuable information about the owners and occupiers of that property. Theses are on microfilm at the Provincial Archives (PANL), however, at the Land Grants office located in the Confederation, they have land listings dating from mid 1700's up to day. They are easily accessible to the public on paying a entrance fee of $ 2.50 (half day) and $ 5.00 for a full day spent there. The staff are quite busy, but will answer any questions you may have. All the documents there can be photocopied and this you do yourself at .10c per copy. They also have copies of old wills pre 1832.
