The Ivy Benoit Home Page
-
This address is that of my recently created home page. As I'm new at
this, this was my first attempt at creating a web page. Some of the names
that I'm researching are BENOIT, AuCOIN, and DOUCET on my husband's side -
most of the ancestors came from France and then settled in Acadia (Nova
Scotia) but eventually came to Newfoundland to settle in the Codroy Valley
and Bay St. George areas. Now for my side of the family - some of my names
are Lomond, Lillington, Dicks, Anderson, Harvey, Vatcher, and Currie.
Except for the Harvey name which came from the Jersey Islands, I don't know
where my ancestors came from in the first place. However, in this great
province of Newfoundland, my relatives came from Burgeo, Isle au Morte, Port
aux Basques, and other areas of the southwest coast.
I'd love to hear from anyone who can help fill in the blanks on my family
tree.
