PIKE, H. Grace
(September 2, 1924 - October 15, 2013)
It is with sadness that the families of the late H. Grace Pike announce her passing at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL, aged 89 years. She leaves to mourn her 10 children, Alfred (Lydia), Louise, Nehemiah (Clarice), Annie, Ella (Harvey Luscombe), Norman, Mabel (Duke Quinlan), Alvena (Chesley Canning) Alvin & Eldred; son-in-law, Adolphus Mews; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 sisters & 3 brothers, 1 brother-in-law and a large number of nephews, nieces, relatives, & friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Francis, 2 daughters, Ivy Mews & Juanita; a son; sister, Gladys Mews; parents, Abel & Louisa Pope; in-laws, Alfred & Annie Pike. Public visitation took place on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 7-9 pm, & Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from the Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL.
The funeral service was held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 pm from the Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL with Pastors Victor Rowsell and Robert Canning officiating. The interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Birchy Bay, NL. Pallbearers were her sons, Alfred, Nehemiah, Norman, Alvin and Eldred; grandson, Robert Mews.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Beacon Pentecostal Tabernacle for Missions in Nain, for Junior and Ivy Andrews; and in Thailand, for Mark and Kim Pope. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte, NL.
SPRACKLIN, Clarence Holwell
(March 5, 1940 - October 19, 2013)
It is with great sadness that the families of the late Clarence Holwell Spracklin announce his sudden passing at his residence in Lewisporte, NL, aged 73 years. Clarence leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Bette; children, Ingrid, Paul (Susan), Montgomery (Carol-Ann), Brent (Paula), Jason (Ann-Marie), & Clint; grandchildren, Amy, Melanie, Kristopher, Brandon, Rachael, Benjamin, & Kelcey; great-grandson, Lucas; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, William & Pearl Spracklin. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service & interment will be at a later date.
