BAKER, Daisy
May 28, 1922 - February 21, 2007
Daisy (nee Poole) Baker was born on May 28, 1922 to Mary-Ann and Fred Poole of Cottle's Island, now Cottlesviile. The youngest of 5 children, she moved to Brown's arm and married Watson on July 12, 1940. They raised five children and have been married sixty-six years. In October 1977 Daisy and Watson accepted Jesiis as their personal Saviour. In November, 2006 Daisy moved to Lakeside Nursing Home, Gander. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she leaves to mourn husband, Watson; Sons: Harvey (Eileen), Hardy (Irene); Daughters: Maisie (Roger), Linda (Junior), Lorie (Brad); eight grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
What Must It Be Like What must it be like to step on that shore, and find it - heaven; To take hold of a hand, and find it - God's; To breathe a new air, and find it - celestial; To feel invigorated, and find it - immortality; To rise from the care, the loneliness, and turmoil of earth Into unbroken calm; To wake up and find it - glory?

Passed away at the Lakeside Homes, Gander on February 21, 2007 Mrs. Daisy Baker formally of Porterville, age 84 years. The funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 pm from the Pentecostal Church, Brown's Arm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society will be gratefully accepted.
BARNES, Leon Gary

Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on February 3rd, Mr. Leon Barnes, aged 35 years of Horwood. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 6th at 2:00 pm from the Salvation Army Church, Horwood. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Muscular Dystrophy will be gratefully accepted.
BEATON, Leonard M.
(July 12, 1933 - February 10, 2007)
Passed away at the St. Clare's Hospital, St. John's on February 10th, Mr. Leonard Beaton, aged 73 years of Norris Arm South.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 13th at 2:00 pm from the Roman Catholic Church, Norris Arm South. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a Memorial Fund for the family will be gratefully accepted.
