Thomas was born June 2nd 1889 in Little Bay East, Fortune Bay.
He enlisted in the RNR on July 24th 1915. Regt # 1733.
He was injured in battle at least twice. Was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and the Military Medal.
Discharged in 1919.
After the war he moved back home and married Laura Ellen Myer Nov 4th 1919.
The couple had 4 children, all born in Little Bay East. Later the family moved to St. Johns.
Thomas died April 10th 1966 and is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. |
