Grand Bruit
![]() |
This photo is not that clear; but it shows what the Grand Bruit families had
to do to get wood to burn in the kitchen stoves with their coal. In this
photo, three sons of Henry Billard, George, Mike and Gerald are arriving
home with two boat loads of firewood from miles up the coast. The wharf
behind them is where the mailboat, from the "steamer" anchored outside the
Harbour, unloaded mail and passengers. Edna Billard, George's wife gave me
this photo in October 2001. Contributor: Fred Ingram |
